Have you been following the draft the last few years? These were the 8 QBs taken ahead of Purdy in his draft..

  • Kenny Pickett
  • Desmond Ridder
  • Malik Willis
  • Matt Corral
  • Bailey Zappe
  • Sam Howell
  • Chris Oladokun
  • Skylar Thompson

How are they looking? :jbhmm:
Malik Willis undefeated in 2024 :ld:

Career 79.5 QB rating, if Love goes down you trust him in the playoff game? I will say he deserves another shot elsewhere..
Under MLF current system, yes. We run first to set up the pass. Malik is more dangerous with his legs than Love which will add to this offense.

Lets just say if Love got injured, i wouldnt be too worried about the offense.

I mean Tua got paid, Lwarence got paid

Whether he's really worth the bread is another topid but why would he be seeking a contract on a discount? You're worth what you can negotiate

WTF does that have to do with anything? :dahell:

Way to miss the point.

It makes zero sense for a team full of holes and needing help everywhere to pay 60 on a QB instead of getting one on a rookie deal. Ward and Sanders for cheap is better than Purdy when you're in a rebuild. Giants and Raiders would be dumb to go for him.

Purdy won't be a free agent this off-season right? They'd need to not only pay him heavy but trade for him and give up assets when he hasn't proven he's capable of being that guy. Rebuilding teams can't give up a haul for him.

The only realistic options are the Colts and Titans. He's not even good enough to do anything with those teams after giving up draft picks and signing him.

The 9ers are in the driver's seat and don't have to pay him what his agent demands. They should just franchise him and make him prove it. Do something next year and show you're with the money. No way can he demand 60 in a down year.

I bet they pay him though. It will be a mistake just like most of these QB's getting these massive deals.

The biggest holes are in IR.

Ward and Sanders not gonna be able to come into the offseason learn Kyle’s playbook, take the Niners to the Number 1 or 2 seed and to a Super Bowl in their first year and possible win it.

if this team was in complete rebuild mold then yes, trade Brock, Fred and a bunch of folks.

But if we not in rebuild and only a couple of pieces (and really just be healthy) away from getting back to the SB and possibly winning. Why get rid of him?

they're also older.

Deebo is gone
Trent needs to be gone (Dude will be 39 in 2026)
George injuries catching up
CMC injuries are too much at this point

I think we'll be okay with Jauan, Pretty Ricky, and BA. I don't see George unless he takes some crazy paycut.
Playaction doesn’t work without a threat at te, I think cmac is gone before him

I never said to trade him:what:

The point is there isn't much of a market for him because most teams have their guy, just signed a guy, are drafting a guy, or can't take on those salary demands.

This leaves him with less leverage in negotiations. Don't bid against yourself. Either get him on a fair deal or franchise him.

I fully expect them to cave and say he's their guy because that's what most teams do when there's questions. Dolphins did it with Tua and the Jags did it with Lawrence. Just use the tag and buy yourself another season to be certain they're worth the money.

No mvps, no playoff wins and one of the biggest chokejobs in history
Biggest chokejob in history huh :mjlol: guy had 270 yards, 1 TD and no turnovers while his defense gave up 31 points in a half
but he's better than someone like Joe Burrow who went to a superbowl and two conference championship games :mjlol:

Quarterbacks are defined by playoff success or individual awards. He coulda put the ball in the endzone when he saw his defense choking the game away. Until he lead his team to a conference championship minimum, he tier 2. He just 6'5 and white with a rocket arm

I think something is in the water in SF that has yall losing your damn mind....my intial post was that the Niners should sign a cap friendly deal like they did with Love so they dont break the bank. Yall took that comment and ran it some other direction :dead:
Love didnt deserve a big contract at the time. Purdy does. Thats the difference you are failing to understand.
