Because it's not fair that MSU/UM/OSU/Iowa have to play each other at least once while ND can make the playoffs by playing BCS teams if they wanted too.

this still doesn't make any sense ND plays 4 to 5 ACC teams every year usc and stanford every year david shaw will get stanford right and lincoln riley is at usc now next year they play ohio state,byu,clemson,usc next season ND might have the toughest schedule next year and ND never play FCS schools now i wish ND played scUM,MSU and purdue every year but thats a different convo

Don't know how you guys can say that he's not a great coach. ND has been overachieving for the past decade. Plus, their recruiting has been excellent under him.

Everyone in sports has to be selfish. Why should any individual person not be selfish when the whole system is built around squeezing every ounce of use out of you and then tossing you to the curb once you are dry? fukking schools/boosters will court the next coach while you still working the sidelines.
Honestly the higher the stakes in any business, the more it becomes like that. Seen it time and time again once i reached a certain level.
Of course, and I agree with your points in general. I know the system is cruel I’m not saying these coaches/players should have an undying loyalty to their schools or anything like that. I’m specifically talking about Brian Kelly here and I’m saying there’s a better way to go about it than how he’s done it every time, because he’s a terrible person. He’s the type of guy who never hesitates to bail on his players or pass the blame to someone else in the most cowardly way every time he can, despite the bullshyt he preaches. He’s the kind of guy who had a kid die on his watch and avoided taking any personal responsibility by saying he needed his team to have a productive practice.
You can still be a decent person despite the system around you. But Brian Kelly is not that person and I wish him nothing but the worst.
they play 5 ACC games every year as part of their deal to join the ACC in all sports outside of football. So Mich/MSU was part of the casualty of that.
