The aerospace/flight industry is known to use C and C-based programming languages to design their software. C is a finicky language that needs to be tested extensively and can cause random errors.

I'm being facetious, but the C programmers I've met seem to be running on dumb luck rather than skill, and I believe it keeps translating to the field.

And just my own theory (need to read up on it) but from my own experience the new efficient winglet wing-tipped wings seem to reduce stability.
