yo if you want to talk about a slow ass show
its good but very very very overrated. watching season 2 was one of the hardest things i ever had to do in my life
That is the focus of this thread. You are choosing to ignore that fact because I decided to compare it to other TV series, in which I was comparing it to the first 5 of those other series and not the series as a whole. Yea I used a shock title, so what, would you like to start over....
Brehs I just started watching Breaking Bad, I'm about 5 episodes in, the pacing is kind of slow, and I find this uninteresting so far, does this get better?
Is that better, or are you still gonna run with I'm the only person that feels that way when there are many others that have said as much in this very thread?
And in regards to The Wire, since everyone keeps bringing it up, I'd say it takes off after about the 3rd episode HOWEVER Season 2 would be a struggle the first time for most viewers. I can admit that about show and not act like the shyt is perfect, or just blame the viewer for having a short attention span.
Personally, I don't think the show started slow at all. It had me from the trailer of the shyt. Like 
wtf is bout to go down in this desert. Loved every minute cause it was something new for me.
And wtf, dudes in here watching Heroes?
I used to watch that shyt with my moms and we'd both be like
at Peter doing some bullshyt ass bullshyt.
But Mohinder pissed me off the most.

*presented with proof that something is going on"
"No, I don't believe this is what's actually happening"
Oh and the dumb chick with the mirror power. I just wanted her ass to die so I wouldn't have to sit through her story.
The GOAT character on that show though was Claire's dad, Noah. He was the only reason I kept watching the show. Don't know what happened to him as I fell of around early season 2. This was way back when I watched tv on an actual tv

Slow start? Really?
Of all the shows I've watched, only Game of Thrones hit the ground running as fast as Breaking Bad.
In fact, Breaking Bad did a better job of packing as much action into single episodes than any show I've seen.

If memory serves me right, he goes from HS chemistry teacher to cooking meth in the desert in the very first episode....how can you call that slow?!?! 
And I guess that's totally unrelated to him saying he prefers the pacing of a cartoon over "BB", right?

I gotta know what shows people are watching if the first handful of episodes in "BB" are slow to them. Very first shot of the series seems like a stand off with police. Cancer diagnosis, DEA raid, cooking meth, showdown with Emilio and Krazy 8, and Walt catches his first body all in the very first episode. 2nd episode they're melting bodies in acid. 3rd episode Walt catches his second body and Hank finds the gas mask which leads him to Walt's school. The next two episodes, which are probably the slowest of season 1, feature a car exploding.
Like I said earlier I have no idea how people made it through "The Wire" if this show is too slow for them.

The very first episode had Walt being diagnosed with cancer, teaming up with Jesse, killing 2 drug dealers and then almost blowing his own head off because he thought the sirens he heard were police coming to catch him.

My boy is the same way and even he regrets saying it was slow because a lot of the stuff happening is setting up the motives for things down the line.
