This was the FIRST test launch. It’s called R&D for a reason (research and development) for those who don’t know.

Musk literally said he would be happy if it didn’t blow up on the launch pad. Some of the engines didn’t even cut on.

They will take the data from this and fix shyt. And do it over and over and over again until it’s perfected.


And it blew up because the auto self destruct engaged. They just built the largest rocket in human history and launched it. That’s a feet in itself.

Do y’all even know how many rockets NASA crashed in the beginning or when Space X first launched

Rocket science is as old as airplanes.

You act like this is some new technology.

The Boer said we would be launching manned Mars missions this year but here he is blowing up rockets on the launch pad.

That's probably one of the most impressive engineering feats I've seen in my lifetime.

It really is. And it’s a game changer.

This just put India, China and Japan — and NASA — on notice for their own space programs. Sucks that the Soviets ain’t in it anymore but it is what it is.

The level of engineering in this is mind blowing and kudos to the SpaceX team for getting to this point in such a short amount of time.

They has issues landing those boosters years ago, figured it out and we are now at a point where you can catch a heavy booster — which is arguably the most important piece. Of course the payload is valuable but to know that you have reliable reusable boosters turns the tables.
