cheetas were my favorite as a kid til i found out they get :flabbynsick: when it comes to distance, but still an amazing animal. it wouldn't be fair if they could sustain that anyway

There are plenty of other animals that can out run a cheetah tho..cheetahs can only run short distances..that's why cheetahs can't catch antelopes and deer sometimes cuz they can run longer distances..as long as they shake a cheetah for a minute it's a smooth getaway..
Not out-run, cheetahs got the speed title in a straight line on lock...but ya they use their agility to just try and outlast that muthafukka til he gets tired.

what they forgot to add is that despite their speed, their kill success rate is lower compared to other cats and predators. they don't know how to hunt and just start running and quickly run out of breath (they didnt say how long they can maintain that speed).

that together with their dna make up being so close to each other making them practically clones of each other and when disease strikes it practically wipes them all out.

cheaters are an endangered species.
Actually of all the big cats, only the snow leopard and mountain lion have a better kill success rate. Its about 1 kill out of every 2 hunts...50%....lions are only taking down about 1 out every 3 or 4 hunts. Granted their prey is much larger, but they have a dam team as well. The problem is, hyenas, lions, leopards, vultures usually deebo him out his kill. Thats why these nikkas are always starving. Each hunt uses up so much energy as well, that they need to eat constantly....and getting your food taken doesnt help that cause. http://www.lions.org/cheetah.html

ive seen lions chase down cheetahs
This is not a common occurrence at all. In fact, i'd go as far to say only a handful of times has this ever been recorded. And in those cases the cheetah was sick or hurt so he couldnt use his speed to get away.
