It's also insane how apt the comparisons to everywhere else this shyt is rising are, complete with him winning on a xenophobic platform in regions where there are basically no immigrants at all. The regions with high immigration #'s all denounce any support for him.

People are idiots and I am beginning to think democracy might be a mistake. :snoop:

seems like obama winning made majority peoples the world over hate democracy.

:umad: i hope this scumbag and his partner get what they're looking for. he should ask uncle vlad for help.

Even now Obama continues to act bougie and still doesn't get anything. Going around calling himself a "male feminist" and then wonders why this happens while complaining how the world is embracing strongman politics.

Grown ass Black man calling himself a feminist :snoop:
Just what we need, another Brazilian military dictatorship :wow: Because what will help the country that's teetering economically and internally is to completely remove the rule of law and centralize it through a racist govt, introduce austerity measures to kill what industry is left coming to the country, and give the military all of it's power back to rule over everyone with an iron fist.

Brazil women are about to ho 10 times harder like Venezuelan women are doing now.

Seriously though a big after effect we will see from all these authoritarian governments, if many end up in a situation like Venezuela, the desperation to immigrate to America or Canada will be sky high . It will be mass killings with people being frustrated about not having the freedom to leave.

Welcome to the new normal y'all.

5:17 mark

Dilma herself spoke about how Bolsonaro and the far right is anti black and anti women. Yeah its stating the obvious but between this and the WSJ endorsement i am amazed more and more how this isn't being talked about at all. I'm sure WSJ's dumb rationality is gonna be to talk about how the stocks jumped up after Bolsonaro got 46 percent. That is the root issue right there, we are so infatuated with money.

what? i don't think you understood the meaning of my post. i said majority peoples, meaning in all these countries they're afraid of someone from a minority group being elected the leader of their country. obama was a wake up call for them. wannabe dictators will better represent who they are culturally.

Isn't the election an more-so an economic referendum more than an social justice fork in the road.

The few of the news articles I've read have revolved around dude being a bigot and anti-gay. Not much talk about the Gov't corruption that he is supposed to be the "response" too

Socialism’s doctrine and ideas are based on the notion that humans stop being humans with all our flaws and desire for personal advancement/achievement etc. The system isn’t designed for humans (ie individuals) but for robots. You’d have to totally ignore all knowledge from evolution, biology, psychology etc to accept socialism.

nikka comes into a thread about a man who's advocating for mob justice in the streets and starts ranting about socialism. Textbook example of why these monsters get elected, you can't jingle the keys and scare my ass by trying to pain the left as the "real villains" here.

And the anti-gay position gets noticed because Brazil is already the most dangerous place on earth for gay people to live, dummy. They get killed by the 1000's every year. Add in his openly discriminatory stances against natives, afro-brazilians, immigrants, and anybody with a political view that's not fascist with his intense desire to destroy the rule of law and what the fukk you think will happen?

"It's the economy, stupid" doesn't register when literally half the fukking world is electing these insane people.

I don’t live in Brazil but I can understand why he’s popular. It’s very easy for those of us who live in comfort in the west to scorn but they live in a country where violence and crime is extreme, corruption is a way of life and inequality is even worse than the west. Coupled that with massive poverty etc and you can see why even those that may not like him will vote for anyone that promises something radically different than the norm.

Let him come in and if he fails to change anything, which I expect he will, at least his politics will no longer seem attractive anymore.

:snoop: brazil had a military dictatorship thirty years ago. bolsonaro was a paratrooper then and looks back on that whole period fondly. its more than a social justice fork in the road - if hes elected i highly doubt brazil will stay a democracy.

he has the support of military, police and paramilitaries in a country that had a twenty year dictatorship in living memory. his political appeal wont matter if he gets elected.
