Boo fukking hoo, your culture has raped and pillaged civilizations and now you’re trying to cop a plea saying the Amazon is the worlds. It ours fuk off
Well when your country is too hot to grow food and people are dropping out like flies plus your coastal cities are over flooded and there is a mass influx of citizens migrating inland you people will only have yourselves to blame.

Do you think Campos would've won if he survived?

I dont share your optimism about the prospect of Bolsonaro's economic reforms, but I think you raise an important point that goes under the radar in most international coverage. The point being that Brazil has some serious fiscal problems, that were hampering the country and cant simply be attributed to some sort of anti-left conspiracy. Also think international coverage understates the downsides of PT rule, that have helped pave the way for the present.

You should post more often in this thread, helpful to get the view of a Brazilian in Brazil.

That was some house of cards type shyt with what happened with Eduardo Campos, he had a huge following and one could only imagine the change he could’ve brought.

Must we not forget that it was PT that led us to becoming the 6th greatest economy a couple of years ago (a decade ago?), i dont knock the party, we were headed in the right direction if we had let Dilma continue to run the country, although I feel it was a case of self sabotage with the removal of Dilma

License to Kill? Sharpshooters to Join Brazilian Police Patrols to Take Down Criminals In the Favelas

Rio is going to be lit. As in it will be lit up. This policy of allowing sharpshooters patrol with police is going to lead a lot Afro Brazilians getting killed. This policy will lead to soft genocide. And God knows what the right wing with criminal militias will do in the favelas. The murder rate in Brazil will double.
