Is this where Brandon Jennings is pumped up as though he isn't shooting a shytty percentage on the season? Where was this defense when Harden had him on skates, or KD and Russ combined for 69 damn points or Afflalo hitting him for 30?
Avery Bradley and Tony Allen are the two best perimeter defenders in the league, Kobe getting 1st team over either of them would be a joke. This is what is truly annoying about fans of Kobe, the fact everything he does gets blown the fukk up. Two good defensive performances on young PGs with no quality teammates to bail them out, and now he's "back" let me know when Russ and KD don't tap dance all over him.

In their last 10 total matchups, Kobe's shut down Westbrook 4 times (under 40%) and Russ has only had 2 great shooting games (over 50%) the other 4 games have been average to good games by him. Not bad for a defender in his 17th year:

He had his two games against LA during this stretch when he was looking like trash, but I guess Randy Foye really gave him that work too. Since that stretch Harden has turned his game up, as evidenced by Kobe trying to check him and getting abused.

from about the year 2001 to about 2009 Kobe was the best scorer and defender. The other elite defenders throughout this time period were Bruce Bowen, Doug Christie, George Lynch etc. Just because Kobe didn't win the scoring title year in and year out doesn't mean he wasn't the best scorer. Iverson averaging 30 ppg shooting 41% doesn't mean shyt. When Kobe got the green light AI had he put up 35. If Kobe had that green light his whole career he'd have career numbers that would match Kareem.

but let's not act like Irving and Jennings aren't explosive scorers. And with Jennings it isn't that he made him shoot a low fg% (because you're right, he's been shooting poorly all season) but its how he made him work.
