How was it:jbhmm:

It started off great, they did all the songs we know, then they veered off and did some covers of older RnB songs and even rock songs :what:

we had left by that point, but you could hear them in the back ground. It was free though so :manny: im sure their paid concerts are better.

I think the reason they're not well regarded sometimes is they crossed over, and 90s with highly anti crossover in a lot of ways

Also they're not super corny like Hammer // Coolio so it's not easy to use them for commercials and movies stuff even the Geico on is the first time they did something like that

How did they "crossover"?

they were the family friendly pre teen r and b group for most white people

in the late 90s dru hill ate up all they black fans and back street boys ate up all they white fans

jodeci more highly regarded because it was a edgier act

come on phonzi.....u know they were put together like SWV and En vogue

When u have song writers and people making the direction its hard to come out of that mold onto ones own unlike Stevie Wonder or Ray charles who were in control of the direction of their music to where they grew and got bigger as time passed.

I'm going to put it like this...

Boys II Men is the epitome of safe R and B. It's sad to say it but dudes never hit hard with folks as you can say groups like Silk, Jodeci, and even Blackstreet are concern. When I think of Boys II Men, I think of them corny 90s compliation albums that used to be pumped out on a daily basis. It's unfortunate because dudes went in with their first album, only to be stuck on the beast of that second album "II":wow:.

2 was huge when it came out.
still gets played by me.
i would say that b2m are a bigger act Worldwide than some of the other grous that are beong mentioned in here.

Exactly. Dudes can eat anytime they want with that international money, but lololol over here is a different story unless they get booked in a Philly festival:ld:.
