I listen to alot of old-school r&b type stations when i can, and i NEVER hear their music. They got classics. Like, forreal i cant remember the last time i heard a Boys II Men song on the radio. Its almost like they never happened:mjcry:

The internet destroyed the music industry because the radio stations have taken FULL CONTROL and their initiative is to appeal to our lowest nature for a quick buck.

R&b groups are dead mainstream wise.

I think boyz II men just wasn't as impactful as jodeci or new edition.

It's like you can still see traces of influence from jodeci and new edition on the current generation of r&b artists.

Water Runs Dry, It's Hard to Say Goodbye and End of the Road are the only ones i've heard prior to checking out their discography

let's put it like this, Boyz II Men isn't as recognizable as other people because their songs aren't as iconic i guess

i could play my little brother Come and Talk to Me, Feenin, Freek'n You and Love U 4 Life and he could sing along
i could play him some Mary J. he could sing along. same with R. Kelly
a lot of songs from them

but out of Boyz II Men he could only sing along to End of the Road

i guess Boyz II Men aged badly, but IMO they don't have albums or songs as good as the best from 90s Jodeci, 90s R. Kelly and 90s Mary J.
those 3 also have music more recognizable to younger people, who doesn't know Bump N Grind?

but ask most teens to recite some Boyz II Men it's not happening

but they still are Amazing, have classic album(s) and songs

Trust me, they are more recognizable outside black communities. Ask them about 90's RnB's and Boyz II Men comes to mind first. Ask them who Jodeci is and they be like ":dahell: who the fukk is that?", until you mention K-Ci and Jojo to them.

Devante was more popular with their audiences back in the day
But people can name their songs

Everyone's heard Feenin, Freek'n You, Cry for You etc

There songs are more versatile
Boys II Men was on that different style than Jodeci and Kelly
