Once again, cacs always expose themselves one way or another. Saying that a drunk driver who kills isnt the same as any other murder is beyond lunacy.

Death penalty is off the table. They can't execute a 13 year old black kid in this climate without further riots nationwide.
But do to the length of the process, the sentancing may not be until he is 15 and the actual execution could feasibly be as late as him being 18+ so who knows.

Doubtful they will push for death penalty.

Most he would legitamately serve is 7 years even if he gets a double digit sentance, due to his age and circumstance.
Any time beyond that is based purely on his race, poverty and the judicial politics of white revenge.

a lot are missing this point:

An expert hired by the defense had previously determined that the teen, who was just 12 when the alleged crime occurred last August, did not understand the charges against him in the death of young Michael Verkerke and thus was not competent to stand trial.

However, Judge Paul Denenfeld disagreed with that assessment, siding instead with the state expert's finding, CBS News reports.

He was (apparently) ruled competent because he understood that he was being charged with killing the other kid.

This doesn't rule out the defense using temporary insanity etc in their not guilty plea.

If I had to guess there will probably be a plea deal...mental institution for medication/treatment/supervision then juvenile detention center.
