nikkas talking about Andre ward and fukking integrity. fukk outta here. They knew chad couldn't make 168 when they fought him. Matter of fact they tried to do a catch weight dude said no. Not to mention he suing the promoter who got him all his fights in the super six in Oakland.

You nikkas better go ahead b. do that shyt to a casual fan. You know I know better.

:dwillhuh:

Did Ward put a gun to Chad's head and make him fight at 168? If Chad couldn't make the weight why did he agree to it? :what:

Is it a problem when Floyd or Manny use catchweights? :mjpls: I'm starting to think you still feel some type of wat from that beating Bad Chad got. :mjpls:

So because he Goosen got all of his fights in Oakland that means the stuff the other promoter did is meaningless and he shouldn't be paid? :what:

I know breh, it's like since when has it become a problem for a fighter to build his "own" area?:heh:

Gatti seemed like he ALWAYS fought in Atlantic City, 3 of Lamont Peterson's last 4 fights have been in his hometown of DC, Hatton & Calzaghe always fought in England.....what's the problem with Andre Ward fighting in Oakland at the Oracle Arena?:dwillhuh:

He's the undisputed King of his division, he can choose to fight wherever he pleases.......that's what happens when you clear out your division and hold clear victories over all the "champions" in your division:sas2:

Ward put the #HandsOfGod on that gentleman Dawson and THEN he went on a smearing campaign after the L.......just like everyone he beats:russ:

:heh: Oh word? This is a boxing forum, where we tend to talk about fighters and upcoming fights on the horizon. Ward's only upcoming fight would better be discussed in Higher Learning. :ld: I know a couple of brehs in there working on law degrees who would really give the play by play on how Gosseen with his iron contract is walking down Ward despite his high litigation activity rate and really breaking him down with legally binding body blows.

#SoggyGang has used the unfortunate but understandable break down of the #GoodBoys-#ChavezCoalition pay-per-view superfight extravaganza to remind the masses that someone named Andre Ward in fact exists.

We all know who wouldn't be mentioned round these parts at all if not for the others :sas2:

:mjlol: at making a legal dispute sound like a damn boxing match.

The only thing that makes me pop into these Andre Ward threads is to see what this nikka posts. shyt be hilarious.

Chad Dawson Calls Out Andre Ward; “S.O.G.” Responds
Posted by: Ryan Maquinana on 4/29/2012 .

By Ryan Maquiñana

Moments after outpointing Bernard Hopkins by majority decision for the WBC and Ring Magazine light heavyweight titles, Chad Dawson immediately called out Andre Ward to fight him next.

“I would love to fight Andre Ward,” Dawson (31-1, 17 KOs) told HBO’s Max Kellerman. “Bad Chad” then shared he could "get down to 168" or make it at 175 pounds if necessary.

Ward (25-0, 13 KOs), who incidentally enough owns the super middleweight version of both belts in addition to the WBA diadem, was the subject of an avalanche of messages on social media asking for him to comment.

"S.O.G." was quick to respond on the internet, saying, “Why is my Twitter blowing up? Y’all know how the game goes. We can get it done!"

Dawson: Ward fight speaks for itself

LAS VEGAS -- Under the cover of a rare rainfall, light heavyweight champion Chad Dawson slips into a nondescript boxing gym for his afternoon workout.

No one will ever confuse a Dawson workout with that of a Floyd Mayweather Jr., who does his training in Las Vegas about 15 minutes northwest of where Dawson has set up shop.
There is no entourage with Dawson, let alone a celebrity best friend. No camera crews. The gym itself you would have trouble finding even when looking for it -- a small room with a ring and two treadmills, attached to a dance studio of all things.

This is how Dawson (31-1) prepares for (and promotes) his Sept. 8 fight against super middleweight champ Andre Ward. The fight will take place at Ward's weight class of 168 pounds and in his hometown of Oakland, Calif.

Dawson produces no sound bites proclaiming he's the greatest ever, and there are no by-the-round knockout predictions from his trainer, John Scully. But in Dawson's eyes, he has done the biggest thing necessary to promote this fight: He made it.

"Me taking this fight and being willing to go down to 168 and to his backyard, I'm testing myself," Dawson said. "That's what champions need to do. Regardless of what you know you can do in the ring, at the end of the day, you have to test yourself."

Immediately after defeating Bernard Hopkins by majority decision in April, Dawson started his campaign for a fight with Ward (25-0) -- a man he said he has wanted to fight for two years.

To potentially speed up the process, Dawson declared he would easily make 168 pounds -- which the Ward camp ultimately held him to.

Pushing for an opponent is one thing, but immediately accepting terms that favor him is something not often seen in today's boxing model. Dawson shrugs at this.

"It's a fight I know I can win," Dawson said. "I have every advantage in that fight. He makes a lot of mistakes, and it's my job to make him pay for those mistakes.

"This doesn't happen enough in boxing. It just so happens that me and Andre Ward are fighting each other, then the week after that you've got [Sergio] Martinez and [Julio Cesar] Chavez Jr. So I think us four fighters are making a statement for boxing. That's two big fights back-to-back."

Dawson, who opened interviews with, "As you can see, I'm looking real slim," said he's on track for an easy cut to 168. He weighed 176 pounds on Wednesday.

It has been a different type of buildup for the Ward fight than some of the others Dawson is accustomed to. He just wrapped up back-to-back fights with one of the more colorful boxers ever in Hopkins, and not too long before that there were the consecutive meetings with the similarly outspoken Antonio Tarver.

Those fights perhaps needed the sideline commentary, with the now-30-year-old Dawson taking on older opponents at the tail end of their careers.

Dawson hopes, and believes, the challenges he has accepted in this fight and the fact that two of the sport's best were interested in seeking, instead of sidestepping, each another will be storyline enough.

"Andre Ward is a class act," Dawson said. "There haven't been any controversies. This is how champions are supposed to behave.

"This fight does speak for itself. You've got two guys who didn't have to take this fight. We both agreed to it and the fight's happening. Hopefully, fans in the boxing world will open their eyes and see this is a big fight."

On September 8, Dawson will be facing a fighter who some say is a younger version of Hopkins. Ward (25-0, 13 KOs) swept through his competition in last years Super Six tournament, culminating in a masterful decision victory over Carl Froch.
Dawson was impressed.

“He’s a great fighter. He’s obviously the best 168 pound fighter in the world,” Dawson said without hesitation. “He proved that in the Super Six tournament. I had my eye on him for years. I always knew that one day we would be fighting.

“I knew I wanted to go back down to 168 pounds and see what it feels like to fight at that weight again," added Dawson."So after I beat Bernard, I figured why not. They accepted the challenge and we’re ready to go.”

The three-time, light-heavyweight champion respects Wards versatility.

“He can pretty much adapt to any style," said Dawson. “You could see that in the Super Six. Every fighter had a different style, and he was able to adapt and do well. Also, it’s his will to win. That’s why I think this is going to be a great fight. He’s willing to win, he’s willing to come in and fight, and I’m willing to do the same thing. It’s going to be a great fight.”

The question that many have asked, since the fight was first announced, was why Dawson would call out Ward at 168-pounds instead of his own 175-pound limit.

“A lot of people are saying I’m giving up to much by going to Oakland and fighting him at 168, “said Dawson. “I don’t diet much. I eat pretty much what I want to eat. I’m not a natural 175 pounder. I’m come into camp at 180 pounds. So, I’m eating to keep my weight. I think people are going to see that when I hit the scales at 168 pounds.

“I think I’ll be better at that weight. I think I’ll be faster. I’ll definitely be stronger, due to the fact that I can get up to 185 pounds. I’ll be the bigger guy in the ring. That’s my advantage. I’ll also have the height and the reach advantage. I think I have some advantages too.”

Dawson, who was born in Hartsville, SC, has fought 18 times in Connecticut where he resides. He’s very comfortable venturing to Oakland to face Ward, who in essence will have the home court advantage. Dawson has traveled twice to Canada and Las Vegas to fight in his opponent’s backyard. Being on the road hardly bothers him.

“The only thing that’s different is the environment, “Dawson said. “You know that everybody is pretty much going to be against you. You might have some fans in the building, but it’s pretty much going to be an Andre Ward crowd. But as I’ve said, I was willing to go over there. I was willing to go to Canada to fight Pascal. I’m willing to travel to fight the best.”

So, he called out SOG at 168, talked about how he was gonna win and that he's on track for an easy cut to 168, gave Ward credit for "accepting the challenge", then he got that ass whooped and he switched it up to he was "drained" and it was a set up.........but HE'S the one who called out the #2 P4P fighter:sas1:

Dawson Would Rematch Andre Ward But Only at 175
Posted by: Luis Sandoval on 6/6/2013 .

“My honest opinion is it was definitely a set up by HBO and other people too. It was set up for me to come in at 168. I would be vulnerable and they could expose it and he would look good at the same time. That's just my opinion on the whole situation. We could've done it at a catch weight where we both would've been comfortable but they wanted it at 168. They wanted me to come to Oakland. And I know HBO has high hopes for Andre Ward. I know they have high hopes for him and they want to make him this big champion but that's water under the bridge for me” said the reigning WBC Light Heavyweight champion.

Did he call him out at 168? Yes

In the middle of camp(a few weeks) they told them they are having trouble making weight(I.E Edison Marinda knocking his ass out in sparring). They wanted to do a catch weight. Ward said no....

You nikkas know this... Or do you?

And my point is his promoter did everything he could for him. He didn't fukk him over for no paper. fukk outta here... nikkas talking about integrity in boxing.....you nikkas can't be serious:russ:
