The rockets were made to be the perfect matchup for the warriors. They were made to shoot threes. They have 1 good three point shooter and the rest are decent. Harden is and will always be a stat padding scorer.

At a certain point shouldn't this be a signal for you to start taking the ball to the rim?
This is the problem with analytics. Not realizing basketball is a game of rhythm. If you can hit a few layups or mid-range shots, it'll help you start hitting long range shots. White boys who never played the game don't realize stuff like this. About how you need to get in rhythm when shooting to help get outta funks like this.
Just heaving up 3s when you're missing like this thinking the law of averages will even itself out is some cac nerd thinking. Some real coaches need to get on that Rockets staff and tell that nikka to get himself in rhythm before taking that many 3s again.

I just can't watch this guy play basketball it's difficult .
He’s overdoing it, grossly, but he isn’t really wrong. Going to the basket and just seeing the ball go in from a shorter distance puts you in a better rhythm when you’re slumping. Anyone who has ever actually PLAYED basketball understands this.

Analytics =/= shooting 3s. Analytics = best shot possible v. efficiency v. points per shot.
Analytics literally prioritizes points in the paint.
If analytics didn't exist in this board's perception, Harden would be the exact same player, except he'd be jacking up 20-ft jumpers instead. No different to what Kobe used to do, except Harden's temperamental style of play is that on a far harsher scale.
