Exactly. Andre Drummond and Jeff Green are perfect examples of this. But who has cap space to sign him to a huge 1 year deal? Like what type of money are the Lakers offering?
It doesn’t necessarily have to be a huge deal, but I wouldn’t sign for the minimum if I were him.

Derozan better watch what type of deal he accepts. Once he accepts it, he’s going to run the risk of being pigeonholed going forward in teams thinking he will accept it again.

And the the team he goes to as well. If he goes to the Lakers he could easily become the 3rd option and see his stats drop. He's in a tough situation
