Yall dont listen to stevie or prince more than r kelly. :russ: cut the bullshyt.
Unless you're from that era, or your parents had you listening to that music, yall not even old enough to know prince or stevie music like that. Cut the bullshyt
if you grew up in a black household, your family should have been playing their music:francis:. What era you grew up in has little to do with it

Boosie is an ignoramus

Just a random fact about Prince, he was #1 in the Billboard Hot 100 with 'Kiss' and The Bangles were #2 with 'Manic Monday', a song HE wrote for them.

Did you hear that?

Prince was competing with HIMSELF

People bringing up R. Kelly writing for others as if Stevie didn't and hasn't had his songs covered by 1,000s of artists

And what do I need to say about Michael Jackson, hundreds of thousands of people would show up just for an APPERANCE of him, no concert, nothing

And people want to bring up R. Kelly in the same category

MJ mega-celebrity status biases the way people appreciate his talent.

I know people that swear that MJ was the biggest musician of all time but you'll never catch them listening to a MJ album.

MJ was the absolute megastar. He has no competition in that aspect.

But when it comes to music, he's not untouchable.

Now I see why old heads used to get mad when young cats came in with foolishness. Prince was making so much music he was giving folks whole albums on some "here just put your vocals on top of this".

We not even gonna talk about MJ.

Actually micheal was working on bad at the same time finishing off thriller.

Doesn't change what I said.

He presented the first demo of Wanna Be Startin' Something towards the end of the Off the Wall sessions and even Quincy was like :dwillhuh: :ohhh: :damn: :whoa: the world ain't ready.

In boosies defense, the context of this argument was who has more hits or wrote for others that could be entered into a versuz battle...going off of that R Kelly would provide some good comp against Stevie and prince. MJ’s catalogue can’t compete, yes he’s the biggest star ever, yes, an all time entertainer, no, he didn’t have a bunch of hits because he didn’t put out as much music as the others..just my $0.02
