I have no problem with boondocks going to a streaming service. That part was inevitable.


But HBO Max?? You telling me Netflix didnt have the bag for this but they threw Seinfeld 500 mil?

This is young justice season 3 all over again. I want to support it but spending 10$ (and in this case 15$) for ONE show aint the move. I'll torrent it and just support it when the blueray drops!~

The OG Boondocks comic was mostly political commentary, so IMO the show needs to go back to more of that.

Maybe I'm just old now but with all the shyt going on in 2019 I'm just not that interested in the show going at rappers or R. Kelly anymore.

The first season or two was excellent because they had the perfect balance of satire and political commentary. Yeah they touched on the Kelly case but they pointed at the absurdity of it too.

In later seasons, they were straight up spoofing shyt and it wasn’t as good at all.

Exactly. The first two seasons were pretty good political satire and pretty valid critiques of cultural issues.

The last two seasons felt like they were straight up ridiculing black people at times and I wasn't really feeling it.
