Robin givens was the power broker alpha female with money. The expensive bags, shoes, etc...but that alpha drive made her too masculine. She wasn’t nurturing. Good eye candy but she not gonna bring you peace.

Angela on the other hand has a low paying job, more artsy, not flashy but more of a diamond in the rough (they did a good job of dressing her down, bc as a youngin I thought robin givens was badder). That’s who you wife

This movie was actually waaaay before its time bc now women are making money and are more masculine and lacking in nurturing qualities ….we got a ton of Robin givens’ that nggas do not want

The only thing I didn’t like was Marcus winning her back. The original ending was meant to be the guys hugging on the rooftop. That’s how it should’ve ended but Hollywood being Hollywood has to have “the guy who messed up winning her back.”

Angela and Gerard didn't fail because he was a good guy. It was because son corn. And weird. Lol. nikka was ashamed of his own parents. Mad anal about everything.

Plus saying she friendzoned him,when he may have very well friendzoned himself. He was definitely downplaying his relationship with Angela like he wasnt really pressed or trying. So if thats the energy he was giving off to Angela,cant fault her for not throwing it in his lap.
