I've been reading this series. The Faithful and the Fallen. It's not unique. It feels like a story that I've read time and time again. Good vs evil. Dark vs light. Angels vs demons. BUT, it is VERY good. It's hard to describe. It's fantasy, not too heavy on the magic, though there is some. They tend to lean more on the sword and the bow. But it's just good stuff. I feel like it rivals Game of Thrones when it comes to politics, strategy, and maneuvering. I highly recommend the series.

Tomi Adeyemi conjures a stunning world of dark magic and danger in her West African-inspired fantasy debut, perfect for fans of Leigh Bardugo and Sabaa Tahir.

Zélie Adebola remembers when the soil of Orïsha hummed with magic. Burners ignited flames, Tiders beckoned waves, and Zelie’s Reaper mother summoned forth souls.

But everything changed the night magic disappeared. Under the orders of a ruthless king, maji were targeted and killed, leaving Zélie without a mother and her people without hope.

Now, Zélie has one chance to bring back magic and strike against the monarchy. With the help of a rogue princess, Zélie must outwit and outrun the crown prince, who is hell-bent on eradicating magic for good.

Danger lurks in Orïsha, where snow leoponaires prowl and vengeful spirits wait in the waters. Yet the greatest danger may be Zélie herself as she struggles to control her powers—and her growing feelings for the enemy.

Ordered this and moved it up to #1 on my next to read list.

I need a place to order books online because my local library is trash.

Literally none of the books I've asked for they had.

A Message to the Black Man
The Autobiography of Malcolm X
Monster Kody's book
None of Prodigy's books

I wonder why :mjpls:

Surprised they don't have the Malcolm X book, at the least
