My first suggestion is Message To The Black Man by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad.
I was gonna say message to the Black Man

That's a must read.

But , also Nile Valley Civilizations.

I'm not religious. I'm a theist with Protestant beliefs and wish to learn about other religions.

Get out of your comfort zone.

More and more thecoli atheist stance comes off as teenaged angst; "You believe in the white man creation that they forced on us during slavery?"

I'm not one to believe "How could you be an atheist?" Like, I get it. But reading a religious text is like any other historical text that may effect our lives.

I'm just against not being knowledgeable.
