Even I agree with everything in this post, by your own logic and standard, It's Dark And Hell Is Hot is expected to be on this list considering it went 4X platinum. It's not there, so are you conceding that that IDAHIH isn't timeless?
It was triple platinum in the first year it was out and then crept to 4x about 2.5 years after it was released. And Then There Was X was the massive seller, hitting 5x in a little over a year. Plus it had bigger singles.
That being said, his music has not stood the test of time when you consider how big he was and compare him to his contemporaries. Not to the extent of Bone, since he has more monthly listeners than Mobb Deep and bigger songs, but overall, I agree with the sentiment of what you are saying. Although, I think your usage of the word “timeless” is misplaced.

Well, now I see the consistency in what you're saying. Although I don't agree with the sentiment that streaming numbers now determine how time tested the music was when compared to how big the artist was to their contemporaries.

The problem here is why is Mobb Deep the standard. If we're basing this on how big DMX was to his contemporaries and comparing that to his streaming numbers now, X's streaming numbers should be higher than Bone's considering he sold more. Still, his monthly listeners are lower than Nas's, Busta's, who he was outselling by a wide margin in the 90's. His drop off is definitely comparable to Bone.

That’s a good point about Mobb Deep. They are a perfect comparison for Bone, since their careers were so similar, but X came out a few years after Bone and Mobb.
Who had a career similar to X?
Ja maybe?
They debuted around the same time in the late 90s, reached epic heights of commercial success, then we’re done within 5 years or so.
Luda? He stuck around longer though. Not that it’s helped him.
Who else? Obviously can’t compare him to Jay or Em as they lasted much much longer.

Mobb Deep is not a comparion for Bone. Wi is a foreign better comparison. Mobb and Bone never had a similar career. Bone and Mobb have absolutely NOTHING in common. And you know that.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster
My #1 fav rap album of all time. Still sounds fresh today.

Real spiel.

I guess fresh people know what's fresh.

Truly timeless album that, if taken out of a time capsule, will bedazzle and captivate its listeners (the only other albums from 95 to do this are possibly Me Against The World, Doe or Die, Safe + Sound, Livin' Proof, Mystic Styles, Dogg Food and Do You Want More).

That nikka is weird talking about monthly streams and shyt.

Who cares?
Why is it weird? The album doesn’t stream as much as you would expect for one of the biggest albums of the 90s. Thats interesting to me because it unexpected.
