I remember a couple months ago he was posting some vids with tracks with alchemist on IG. Wonder if he got Gibbs on one of those
Good question. I do know that Currensy and Alc have a 3rd project ready. I think Currensy is waiting on a verse from Styles P and maybe one more person and then it's good to let fly. It should definitely be out this year, but I don't know if Gibbs is on it or not. I know they've had some mild tension ever since Fetti, but I've heard other people say it's not that serious. I hope they smoothen out any issues if there's anything really there though. They make dope music together.

Could never get into Boldy.....definitely an acquired taste.....sounds like he's always rapping on Lean or downers half the time with that monotone voice......no hype or cadence at all

He definitely doesn't sound hyped lol, but he's got some pretty crazy flows and cadences. Joints like Surf & Turf showcase it well. His style is definitely an acquired taste. I used to hate him and now he's become one of my favorite rappers.

I'm gonna hold off on a listen again until Friday, but I'm not sure how I feel about Turpentine. That one might have to grow on me a little bit. It sounds kind of like an interlude, but the full song is over 3 minutes.

But I guess the whole Tea in China album had to grow on me. I went from legitimately not liking it at all to it being my favorite album last year. So I'm guessing Turpentine will grow on me.

Steel Wool though?:picard: :wow: That one is hard as fukk. I love that off one listen.

After one listen i'm more sold to "Steel Wool" too but I'm feeling the first part as well.

"First 48 Freestyle" and "Drug Zone" are included on that iTunes pre-order... and no more "Another 48 Freestyle"?

Bo Jackson by Boldy James & The Alchemist
The 48 thing is weird but I got it figured out.

Speed Demon on the last album is 48 bars, exactly. This new joint is also exactly 48 bars. I'm guessing that the new single was called Another 48 at first, and then they realized people would be confused and wonder where the first 48 was, so they just changed the title to First 48 after the artwork was made...and plus First 48 is a television show so that gives the name a little double meaning.

So yeah. First 48 Freestyle = Another 48 Freestyle on Bo Jackson...and if you want to go listen to the original 48 bars from Boldy, then Speed Demon Freestyle on Tea in China has it for you.
