The second half of this album is damn near flawless. First half has some songs I'm not into but aren't bad. Very good album. Also this is the most interesting Alch has been in awhile to me, beat wise. Even got that Russian Roulette vibe revival on 3rd Person.
:wow:

Side note...when is Earl gonna fix his career and do an album with Alch smh.
Curious what joints early on you don't like as much. It's the most interesting batch from Alc to me in a while too. This is my favorite bag of his since he started his 2020 to current run.

3rd Person is dope as fukk too. It took me a few days to get into that one, but it's one of my favorites now. I'm reading a lot of people comparing it to 1985 off Alfredo, but I actually like it a little more.

Turpentine and EMPD, beat wise, are kinda...dunno, bright? And they just feel like they don't fit to me personally. To me the start of an album is pretty important and here, I love the first track..then you get to the second track which I'm ehh about...then the third track brings back that gutter shyt that I love (Brickmile to Montana)...then EPMD hits and takes me down again. But I fukk every everything from Steel Wool on.

It's only two songs but just the way its sequenced is my issue.

Turpentine is definitely bright. It actually reminds me a lot of Crime Pays off of bandana when the 2nd verse starts and the sample opens up. I'm guessing it's not the same singer as the Crime Pays sample, but it really reminds me of her.

I think EPMD sounds kind of menacing and dark actually.

But yeah I feel you on the sequencing. Especially in regards to Turpentine. It sticks out from most of the beats on the album and it seems like a joint that either has to be super early or super late into the album.

Turpentines dope but the quality of the crime pays sample is superior musically & just phatter sounding. I like turpentine tho
