edit: this was definitely a Prodigy beat
One of my producer homies sent me this and said that Al played this beat on IG Live early in the pandemic when he and Ev were playing each other unreleased beats they'd made.

Wow. Yeah I thought Versace Tape was boring. Boldy was brought in by Westside Gunn to do the Versace Tape as a favor and the final result sounded like it IMO. :hubie:

It was cool but out of the handful of projects that Boldy did last year it was the weakest one. It sounded like a bunch of half cooked drumless loops with more average effort raps from Boldy.

This is fukkING INCREDIBLE I’m loving this after one listen. Copping vinyl when it drops. Every track here is AMAZING.

Didn’t think Boldy & Alc could top TPOTIC but this is definitely on that level.

@TheDarceKnight is there gonna be a Price of Tea 2 still?

Can see myself running this one back a LOT.

This, Pray for Haiti, Lloyd Banks Album, KD2 & THIB are my album of the year contenders so far

From what I understand, Alc doesn't like using numbers for projects, like Part 2, Part 3, etc. I don't think we'll ever get a Covert Coup 2, an Alfredo 2, or a Tea in China 2.

I posted a Rolling Stone article where he says Bo Jackson is the 1st in a three-album-run with Boldy, but I wouldn't expect any of their next projects to be called Bo Jackson 2, or Tea in China 2.

I think everything will get its own unique name.

Here's the article if you don't wanna scroll up: The Alchemist and Boldy James Discuss Making Their New Album 'Bo Jackson'

EDIT: Check out Unlearning Volume 1 by Evidence too. it's one of the best albums this year also, and Boldy and Conway are both on it.

I still prefer my 1st chemistry set over all his other projects
It might be the most fun to listen to. Boldy is clearly a better rapper now, but he sounds a little louder on that album and the beats are definitely way more hype and loud. M.1.C.S. almost sounds like how I'd like a modern day LOX album to sound.

I do think Tea in China and Bo Jackson are objectively better pieces of work, but your take is very legit and I ain't mad at it at all.

What fukked me up with M.1.C.S. is that it dropped in maybe the worst month of my life, and the album is kinda fukked up for me as a result. It's hard for me to listen to it and not think about all these fukked up things that happened in my life in this really short time span. FNO by Lloyd Banks dropped right then too. Both of those projects are half-ruined for me.
