My point is that modern Western colonialism and slavery was more detrimental to those enslaved than in other forms of slavery because the belief was not that Africans and Natives were enslaved because they were defeated and could be used as free labor or because they were bought from other Africans but because god wanted them to be enslaved because they were genetically inferior and needed to be trained to lose their savage ways. Science was produced to corroborate this idea and it was drilled into the slaves head. Even today in black history month, only American blacks are mentioned, perpetuating the idea that blacks only became accomplished after slavery. Even after slaves were freed, they were still slaves. Even after they were allowed to vote, they couldnt vote. Even when they were declared equal, they weren't equal. This is not the case with the Arabs.
