That's what i did. I closed my Betterment account and I have a Roth and a brokerage. My wife rolled over her 401k to Betterment but I opened her a spousal roth. I've bought dividend stocks for both. Nike, coke, att, proctor and gamble, apple, 3m etc. Plus you avoid fees from actively managed accounts. I maxed her out for 2015, and I have the rest of the year for 2016, up until April 2017. Put dividend stocks in your roth for tax free growth.Since Betterment is all etfs, and that's where most of my money is, i thknk im going to eliminate etfs aside from vnq and bnd from my robinhood account and just focus on individual stocks.
Thoughts
Get some NIKE as well. The playoffs are good but yo the OLYMPICS are this year. As far as buying 10 pieces here and there, that's what I do so don't feel bad. You know what's a cool app, Stocktwits. Very informative.Said fukk it and got myself some position on UA. At 71.50, I think it was a good entry point. Got Steph to ride into the playoffs and golf season starting. I think they are setup nicely. Only had enough for a ten piece, but gotta start somewhere right.
My US RRSP trading account read $4635 back in Oct.
It now reads $898
I'm not realizing any losses...gonna hold forever
