Brehs, do any of y'all go to any stock market forums? If so, what are the good ones? I need some help. :sadcam:

I don't know if all these sites have forums but Bloomberg has some, marketwatch.com, motley fool, bigcharts.com, investor's business daily, boglehead has a pretty active forum but I think it does a lot of personal finance stuff as well, stockniche, equitygroups.

These are just some resources I can think of off the top of my head. Others could probably chime in with better forums. I don't visit a lot of forums.

I've considered starting a forum to talk strictly finance like we do in here... only thing holding me back is I'm suspecting there isn't a good forum out there because a lot of investors are older and don't mess with forums. Or rich and don't need to waste time with them. Not sure how much interest it would get.

I've been sleeping on this thread. SMH. *watching, 5 starring*
What indicators do you guys use ? Also what sites/softwares are you guys on ?
Seems like pros use eSignal heavy but could TradingView be enough to monitor markets ? I've been trying to get into stock/forex for months and I'm currently on demo account with Plus500 but that software is really light indicators-wise and I got my TV routine already set up :ld:

I don't use a ton of indicators. I do more macro/value/event driven investing/trading. I try to look for companies that are undervalued or I think are going to move on momentum. I've never really gotten into technical analysis but I look at the technicals too. I can't put it into words but just looking at income statements and balance sheets I can usually tell if a company is shyt or not. But sometimes the markets get so de-coupled from the valuations it doesn't always work.

You shorting the yen?

Oh ok, well I came into the trading world thanks to TA, so I kinda used to it now. I'm trying to spot some accumulation before a surges, catching knives with super low buys because I'm more of a swing trader and I'm ass at daytrading. I'm not really good at what I'm doing either though I'm better than what I was months ago so I'm still learning (that's why I'm in demo account) but with this thread I may have a nice news provider to complete my tools.

About JPY I'm not in it. I just watched the charts in a quick minute and the USDJPY jump has been quite impressive (USD been impressive for a year now after all) but it looks like a correction is due so starting to short now would be dangerous for me I think. :ld:

But maybe you got some good news, I'm still a rookie so most of all my ears are open :lolbron:
