It seems like you're in the financial industry, but I've never seen you say so and never asked. Are you? Big Zero Hedge reader?

My best friend works at a major institution and every day he's sending me Zero Hedge tweets. Cracks me up.

I do work in the financial industry. I actually work for a small investment banking firm. I essentially arrange debt and equity financing for small and mid sized companies usually in the $1 million to $200 million range.

I used to think zero hedge was a crack pot but he puts up some good charts and graphs. He does bytch and moan a little too much about monetary policy but he also has some legitimate criticisms of central banks and the big banks.

All these little tricks to beat the market end up not working after a while.

yeah it would be arbitraged away.

I just thought it was interesting to note how the market has seemingly gone up in that time frame. I think it's been going up in the last half hour of the day too like 15 days running or something.

I knew I fukked up not closing out the Nov 22 ACHN $15 calls I sold.



That shyt is going to get to $15 in the next 7 trading days no problem.

So are analysts looking at these bank settlements as one-time charges still or are these just a cost of business going forward?

man would I be pissed about this if my bank/broker executed trades like this

That would be illegal, so I doubt that was the motivation.
