First thing you need to do is determine what goals do you have for investing your money

1. are you trying to make quick money? Bet on stock to take off and pocket the profits?

2. are you trying to build a portfolio with steady growth?

3. do you want to invest in dividends paying companies that might not have much growth but want lose much money and will pay you a return on your investment

Also starting out I would advise you to invest in ETFs since they are already diversified

why am I not surprised? It's obvious there was gonna be some election fukkery especially this year and this virus was the perfect opportunity to do so.
