I had cost basis of 19.40 for AMD and 21 for JD.com and sold both last year. It happens. You win some and you lose some. Also had a cost basis of $260 for Tesla and sold that for a loss last year.Not jumping in DraftKings when I seen it at $19 and selling ERI at $21 is my 2 biggest regrets

Tesla before then had never really been out of the mid $300s. I just figured I'd cut my losses and move on. Had no idea that a year later it would be a $900 stock. It was less than a month before Tesla fell into the $170 range. I remember because I wanted to buy back in but it would have been a wash sale so I didn't and Tesla bounced back so I never did.
