Extreme Rules should have been for #1 contendership. Point blank. Last night was silly, and as a character...if WWE focused on logic, he should have at least been upset about this. Reigns, and Rollins having lost are somehow on equal footing for an opportunity at Lesnar. Lashley was getting cheered on Raw for once, since the WWE's efforts to make Brock seem like he doesn't care about the belt are working and you could feel interest in Lashley as the proxy to remove that belt increasing....

Then they threw him in the same ring with Rollins...who is the most over guy there, and when Lashley wins it feels flat. You could have totally avoided this by just...having Sunday have been for #1 contendership. But whatever, I guess WWE has weeks to book before SS. It just felt like Extreme Rules was reset, and Lashley is kinda back where he was before it.

It's gonna end up being a triple threat at Summerslam with Brock, Lashley, and Roman

And it's just so Lashley can take the pin from Roman so that Brock doesn't lose the belt by being pinned
It wouldn't surprise me if they still protected someone who doesn't give a fukk about the business. :mjlol: No one will care if Crock takes the pin. They'll just be relieved that he finally lost.

It's definitely happening this way

No way Brock takes a pin before he goes back to UFC

That's bad for business for both companies

Brock will leave, come back and get a title shot based on "I never really lost the title in the first place" waaaay before Finn Balor does

So I didn’t watch RAW or the PPV but I’ve seen the results. Even though modern WWE booking is terrible, lately they’ve found a way to sink to new lows. Lashley won an apparently now worthless PPV match with the theoretical top guy just to fight same dude a week later on free TV now for a title shot. While I’m at it, let’s look at the other guys in the triple threats:
  • Rollins gets a chance at a title shot even though he lost his own title and subsequent rematches.
  • McIntyre gets a chance at a title shot despite doing fukk all solo except hanging around Ziggler.
  • Similar for Elias who’s barely even on TV consistently
  • Reigns been a loser for a long time, only winning matches of little significance just to lose on the big stages
  • Finn hasn’t done shyt in forever except toil in the Midcard, and even then his wins don’t end up leading to anything worthwhile.
The only dude who’s been winning his feuds and logically progressing up the card is Lashley who now might up end up hustling backwards to put over Reigns, when they should’ve just done that to begin with if that’s the end goal. Wins and losses really don’t matter at all anymore.

No character development. Just a lot of matches where there’s no consequences either way, rendering the matches pointless and a waste of everyone’s time. Been that way for years and it’s argusbly their biggest problem. If the matches mean nothing, there’s no reason to care about the result. If there’s no reason to care who wins, there’s no reason to tune in at all.

Got beat by Ricochet twice within a month. Well, he seems like he’s having legit fun with Lana being paired with him lol
