They dropped the ball something serious. Mike Pitt being difficult derailed the original momentum. They found a second wind with the Dr. Narcisse/Chalky storyline. Then HBO pulled the plug to make that rock and roll show and rushed the fifth season .

Before this it was a GOAT show

Season 3 was definitely good Gyp being a wildcard and Nucky good full gangster made for great TV. That Billie Kent storyline though

As many have said and will say, they through it all down the drain by rushing the last season. They really should've done a split last season. First half of the season in 1929 (seriously, how can you have a mob show set in Atlantic City and skip over the Atlantic City Conference ) and the second half of the season like they did it.


So sad too, cuz they did such a great job casing and writing the real life gangsters. Al Capone, Meyer Lansky, Lucky, etc were amazing.

One of my favorites but didn't live up to its potential. Great performances but the story was just ok at times. That Narcisse Chalky started epic and kinda went left.

I think I stopped watching after Season 4.

Margaret had SO MANY boring scenes, she became fast forward status.

They had some interesting characters and performances but at some point I just stopped caring.

the show was never as compelling or exciting for me after jimmy's death. but it was the greatness of alot of performances that kept me coming back. also very weird the direction they took van aldens storyline. felt like fan service at point.
