The show seemed to suggest that Torrio set Capone up and Capone hit Torrio. And Moran had nothing to do with it. Is this wrong?

We all know history says that the North Side Gang did the hit on Torrio in retaliation for Obanion's murder. But on Boardwalk Empire they clearly suggested an alternative version of events. Ask yourself two questions:

1. Were there any indications this season the North Side Gang attempted the hits on Al or Torrio?
2. Were there any indication this season Al and Torrio attempted the hits on each other?

The show is definitely trying confuse viewers what exactly happened, but they aren't going to go agains't history. We will see next season that it was O'banion's friends that tried to kill Capone and Torrio.

The show makes it seem that Lansky was the real mastermind. Lucky probably only got to the top cuz he was Italian.

A Luciano/Lansky spin off in the 30s would be dope. We get to see the commision, the national crime syndicate, Bugsy Siegel, Frank Costello, Lepke Buchalter, Albert Anastasia and Murder Inc

See I think it's the opposite. The show illustrates how hard it is for Lucky to rise within that structured Italian old guard. Lucky is forced to deal with an over bearing, non-forward thinking Joe Masseria. In fact, that's a hallmark of Lucky's reign, once in power, he loosens some of profit inhibiting policies of the old Italian way.

This season was fukkin excellent. Glad they came back strong especially with the sappy shyt from the previous season with Margerrette.. Jeez. The scene with Torrio, I'm surprised they didn't show dude gettin shot with a shotty. Torrio fukkin survived a shotgun blast, and a .45. Ate em like scooby snacks, but did pass that crown though.
