Yo, real talk, fukk the writers of this show :pacspit:

Not only do you kill Richard, but you leave me all conflicted and shyt. On the one hand he was probably the most admirable character on the show (he rode for Jimmy, looking out for his son, gotta respect that), but then on the other hand he half stepped and fukking murdered Maybelle :why: :damn: :bryan:

So RIP, Harrow....I'm just not sure if the 'P' stands for PEACE or PISS :patrice:

And Dr. Narcisse....man fukk the writers and Jeffery Wright for this shyt. They introduced him and had all of Black America elated at the sight of a an educated Black man running shyt living by a code. They then spent the entire season chipping away at his armor revealing him to be nothing more than a peddler and a pimp...a nikka with a dictionary indeed. And the culmination of this in that jail cell......gat damn that ether Hoover was spitting is still burning MY soul. From upstanding Negro who damn near lynched a white woman off principle to a snitch ass drug dealer. :wow:

It's still Amerikkka, nikka, don't you ever forget....I wanted it to be one way...but it was the other way. :snoop:

Chalky my nikka, but he has got to smarten up by next season....spend your time in the country learning to fukking read. He was overmatched by Narcisse all season. He obviously knew Harrow was in the wing, but when Narcisse revealed he had Maybelle Chalky froze. Popping Narcisse likely would have spelled harm for Maybelle, so Chalky was worried as fukk. But instead of taking action, he stood pat and watched his daughter get murked.

I hope they open next season with Eli getting in that car and don't just skip ahead in time..that's one awkward ass conversation that I think they need to show.

I'm surprised they didn't do a better job introducing the North Side Gang. Torrio mentions them by name (Bugs Moran and Hymie Weiss) but at this point they're really just faceless shooters.

Great fukking episode. Amazing fukking season. Dope ass show. :wow:

Fukk u for typing all dis and not answering my question :damn:

The show seemed to suggest that Torrio set Capone up and Capone hit Torrio. And Moran had nothing to do with it. Is this wrong?

Chalky basically turned into Louis Gosset JR.

Also they say there was an FBI plant in Garvey's camp.....this show is doing a excellent job

Has anyone noticed that Boardwalk comes off like a stage play sometimes? The sets sometimes look intentionally theatrical sets (think about the train station during Harrow and Tommy's goodbye and the coffee area in the lobby of the Ritz from season 1). Also, in the last few episodes we've had characters that almost seem like they are following stage directions (William enter stage left as Nucky holds a gun to Eli's head and the way everyone came out of nowhere when Gillian confessed).

This could be brushed off as poor set design or writing, but I think there's a little more going on here. Anyone else notice this and have some thoughts on it?

Anyone else get a serious Godfather vibe when Torrio got clapped up?

Standing there in his garden saying "I just sprayed these".....

For sure. They love their allusions to gangster movies. The scene last season when the shooters came for Nucky in his office was almost a shot for shot recreation of a scene from Miller's Landing (Coen brothers prohibition era movie).

So on tge show, Torrio set up Capone, right?

And then Capone retaliated, right?

Cuz according to wiki, Moran and his peeps attemped the hit on Torrio.

No, what you read on the wiki is what happened. The show took creative license to potentially show another angle at what could have been going on at the time. It was written like that to make you think they'd perform hits on each other. It's interesting to see them use a red herring with actual historical events. That's why this show is slowly becoming a GOAT candidate.

@The Taxman I wish people would stop saying this. Both the hits were planned by O'Banion's North Side squad. Al was suspicious but Torio never put out the hit and Al never retaliated.

In real life, thats tge story. But the show clearly suggest something else.

Especially when Al goes into Torrio's room shook and Torrio tells him, "You Win Kid."

And when Al was thinking about who set him up and nobody seemed to want to say Torrio did it, but when Torrio was leaving he paused when Al's tone changed.

The show is clearly saying Al and Torrio started to beef before that North Side war really jumped off

When Harrow walked towards his sister porch, didn't it seem like Jimmy and Angela was there too? And, how poignant was him to die under the Boardwalk:to:

Nah, both shootings were done by the North Side Gang (Moran and Weiss).

I agree that the show made it seem like Torrio and Capone put hits on each other, but the history says otherwise. I'm not sure why the show put this seed of doubt in the viewer's head :yeshrug:

Outside of the public record stats (like when a guy is murdered or sent to jail, etc) a lot of the "history" is just hearsay and rumors anyways, so maybe that was a rumor they tried to portray.

We all know history says that the North Side Gang did the hit on Torrio in retaliation for Obanion's murder. But on Boardwalk Empire they clearly suggested an alternative version of events. Ask yourself two questions:

1. Were there any indications this season the North Side Gang attempted the hits on Al or Torrio?
2. Were there any indication this season Al and Torrio attempted the hits on each other?

For sure. They love their allusions to gangster movies. The scene last season when the shooters came for Nucky in his office was almost a shot for shot recreation of a scene from Miller's Landing (Coen brothers prohibition era movie).
And in season 1 when those young brothers were all killed it was like that montage scene towards the end of the Godfather where the bosses were killed.

My prediction - we'll be introduced to Marcus Garvey & Bugs Moran next season (wonder who'll play them), but i also think they'll fast forward to 1928-1929 & have Rothstein killed, as well as show the St. Valentine's Day Massacre. :lupe:

Or maybe they'll just leave the Narcisse/Garvey/Hoover story right there in the finale & start with something else next season?
