That's pretty good casting.
Well that dude who posted that also thought Ted Kord needed to be the Blue Beetle they make a movie about.Hindsight is wild.
Posts in this thread talking about 'no-one gives a fukk about Miles Morales' two weeks before the movie they made centred around the character came out, became a box office hit and won and Oscar.
Will check out for solidarity. But I think they will fukk this up. And BB is hard to fukk up.

All three of them had been pushed 40-50 years in comics, Cap had a tv show in the 40’s and a movie in the 90’s(or sucked) Thor was on the Incredible Hulk tv show had his own solo series and was a mythological Viking god so he was known. Iron Man had his own comics and cartoon in 90’s and was big enough for Tom Cruise to be attached at one point. Blue Beetle to a lot of people (especially us that read in the 90’s) is just a smart dude in a spandex suit that hangs out with Booster Gold

Yeah I’m a casual to the comics and superhero stuff and I had no idea who iron man and even captain America were prior to the MCU movies
and I only knew Thor because he’s a mythological figure
So as long as the movie is good, Blue Beetle can level up too.

We can exclusively share that there will be two Blue Beetles in the film. The film will focus on Jamie Reyes and his origin, but it will also include Ted Kord who will act as a mentor to Reyes. Think similarly to the relationship that Hank Pym and Scott Lang shared in the Ant-Man films. Currently, there is no actor attached to the role of Kord.
We can also exclusively share that the villains will be none other than The Reach. The Reach is a group of cybernetic insectoid aliens who in the comics are closely associated with the creation of the Blue Beetles. So their inclusion points to an origin story of sorts for the Blue Beetles.

WB decided to give Blue Beetle a theatrical release instead of keeping it HBO Max exclusive.
I'm on the fence with this one but I'll keep an open mind.
