This shows how movie studios are with marketing/promoting. There shoulda been shyt done in hispanic/latino communities; like roll up in a Beetlemobile or something. Get the kids involved.

I mean the most obvious place would be Booster GoldMovie is fine but it doesn't do anything we haven't seen before. It would have been better on Max as a TV show.
Gunn is just saying he's going to use this Blue Beetle in the future but realistically where does he fit in the next five years (Gunn's Contract)?
He's introducing dozens of "new" characters in his version of the universe but he's going to find 5 minutes to bring in this guy from the old regime and a movie that no one cares about?
Do you stick him in one of the Waller/Peacemaker or Lantern shows? If so we haven't heard about any production start dates even before the strikes for either of those shows.
Xolo with be in his 30s before Gunn remembers what he said about using him in the future.
After secret invasion I already see what time they on, just gon leave it alone my guy
It’s wild when you think they put more resources into promoting a film led by an assaulting, burglarizing, grooming, cult leader then this. This shows how movie studios are with marketing/promoting. YOU.ARE.FUNNY.I should cosplay as a WB/DCU profit and loss statement for Halloween
Blue beetle is what I'd call "highly entertaining trash". This movie had terrible amateurish acting, bad writing, bad special effects like something you'd see from an early 2000s fantastic four movie, but somehow it works in being entertaining. Susan Sarandon clearly showed up for a paycheck, one of the most obviously phones in performances I've seen in a long time. The love interest is a very cute girl, but she had a speech impediment. This woman has a lisp so bad it's ridiculous how she got casted. Clearly a casting couch superstar, because everytime she had to pronounch a word with an "s" in it, it was like she sounded like a cartoon snake.
Now let's get to the other supporting characters, the family. Man, when I tell you this was like a superhero telenovella, they even joke during the movie about the main character's life being similar to a fictional(i believe?) Show in the universe. Everything is so on the nose with the mexican talk, gentrification and other things. So many times in the movie it just gets overly melodramatic. They'll stop everything for some silly bad delivered speech to the main character.
The woman who played the sister, kill her asap. This movie was badly edited, badly written, bad special effects, bad directing, but somehow entertaining. As someone that watched a lot of scifi channel back in the day, this would fit in perfectly. I would not recommend anyone watches this entertaining trash, unless they have absolutely nothing else they could be doing. I'd watch a sequel though
I said GotDAMNShut your bytch ass up, cowardly fakkit. Nobody gives a fukk about your opinions.
Goofy ass nikka in here writing novels

Gina Rodriguez rolling over in her grave
Good. F! that racist broadGina been awfully silent re Azul Beetle
That’s fine that it wasn’t a black person in it, I hate when they represent us as a token character just to check a box. We had our shine with BP and hopefully we get ours again with Static or John StewartMessed around and fell asleep on it...but that was on me. Those long fight scenes are starting to have that kinda affect on me. I had to eventually walk out on "Rise of the Beast", I think for the same reason, plus it was a little long. I've been meaning to catch up on it at home. Anyway, "Blue Beetle" had it's funny moments I guess, even though I don't remember seeing one Black person in it
But on the other hand they could try to feature batman superman or whomever hot at the time in a movie that doesn’t really pertain to them. Idk im pretty sure this shyt eating at them but it’s their own fault as well for not expanding character movies a long time agoUnlike Ant-Man 3 and some other projects, this won't take much to break even. It got good reviews and has a great audience reception. Gunn is smart to keep him (and maybe the family) on and move them into the new DCU.
