Blu & Exile - Miles (Discussion Thread)

Just finished the album and I was very impressed. Blu sounds like the Blu that made me a fan of his years ago.

Exile did his thing too. The vocal samples and chops were nice. And it was good to hear Blu over mastered production again

Blu has been in a crazy run for these past couple of years. This album is amazing. Exile is consistent throughout the album and Roots of Blue? .

Definitely one of the top albums this year.

After two listens i can say its a top 3 rap album of the year for me, i only put RTJ and Ka above it.
I liked every tracks, some highs (Troubled Water, The Feeling, Miles Davis, Miles Away, The End, To The Fall, But Not Forgotten) but no lows. Very consistent for a 96 minutes record, impressive.

Yeah. Record's a little long for me, which feels like such a bizarre complaint since I've been missing Blu forever. I love this album but I'm likely going to have to break it up on future listens.,

I wouldn't doubt it. Outside of his comfort zone with Exile, he likes to branch off and experiment with as many producers as possible. And I read this album's been done for a year now, so it's not crazy to think he's already working on something else.
