I didn't look at the yearly prices, only the monthly ones cause that's my preference. I'd have to budget like a mofo to buy that 120 a year tier.

Outside of Xbox 1P, everything launching day 1 on Game Pass is AA fodder or indie trash.
Getting bullshyt like Rainbow 6 Extraction when it launches isn't the flex you guys think it is lol.
At the end of the day, both of these services are ways to get you to pay for games you wouldn't otherwise care about.

If it took playstation 3 to 4 generations with little to know competition then it goes to reason it's gonna take Xbox around the same if not a bit longer.

The best way this works is if you skip out on buying Sony games new and it comes to the service in a reasonable time. Otherwise as more recent content comes to this service it's likely to be stuff you already bought. That leaves the remaining appeal of it to be the PS4 through PS1 games. In a few months you'll burn through those and then what?This the trashiest shyt ever.

Maybe they get indie games like Game Pass and do some third party deals for newer content. In the end this will probably have a level of parity with Game Pass up until you get to the new first party titles available day 1. I'd imagine if a company sells the rights to Game Pass they'd also want to sell the rights to PS+.
I've been constantly saying this but Sony needs to do the Disney+ approach. Make some mid tier games new for the service and have a premier access where for an additional $40-$50 if you're a sub you can buy new AAA titles at release and own them digitally. All they have to do is abandon the price above the margin and charge what they make on the game.
