@Momentum
Nah man I haven't had a chance to really hit up mayfaire. .. next time I touch Wilmington I will ... I'm sure there's some culture shock moments
@Play-Doh
Hold ya head ... are you actively working toward getting out ?
@Big Daddy
Damn you summed it up perfectly ... it feels like a time warp ... the blight is just ... my gosh. ..

... Some towns look like they've been nuked . Its a lot of natural beauty in the East too tho.
But it seems like zombie land ... had to travel down east for business and the mood... the feels ... it's ... If you've travelled there, you know . Words don't do it justice . And I was asking the same thing ...like , "where's the help? How do you get help ? Fukk are people doing ?"
Like how do you agree to a culture of living in blight and apathy ?

I'm sure folks want more but at some point somebody can't scrap up some change.for an Amtrak ticket west and some.money for a month's stay at a roach motel til you get established ?
I'd be saving money all the time ... I'd be running around with some muhfukkin Spauldings on my feet and some dollar general gear eating bologna and noodles damn near every day to keep that bread stacking . Fukk that ... and I'd get me a lil country chick that had her mind right and ima say "look here, let's pool this money and get the fukk outta here ."
And then come back and give back ...
I wonder if folks like Donald Williams , Jerry Stackhouse , Gurley (and now Brandon Ingram , who was at my people's cookout in Kingston last week) etc. really try to start initiatives in eastern NC? You know eastern NC breeds professional ballplayers . Pound for pound, per capita can compete with some of the larger cities nationally for developing pro talent ... probably cause it ain't shyt else to do. If these players aren't really giving back with initiatives to bring about empowerment , then they need to start . A camp is cool ..but it's not enough .
I was driving down east thinking like damn. .. if I was flat broke with no car, it'd probably take a day to walk to the DSS office .
With the area being so rural , a lot of state agencies are probably strategically placed in catchment areas and have to be used by multiple counties .
I'm really interested in Eastern NC ... I bet the love is real tho ... all you got is fam. And you'd really have to get plugged in to a church ... it'd be foolish not to.
