They shouldn't be claiming gangs anyway.
Greenville is way worst than Goldsboro IMO.
Kinston is a ghost town. They are wasting the tax payers dollars on building up Queen street and trying to build around the Neuse Center
I remember going to the Imagination Station on that street back in the day. Kinston has nothing now. Especially after losing the Indians.
Wilmington is dope but its all old money people from NJ/MD/CT etc. that are really pumping the cash into that town. The locals (black mainly) are just as broke as the rest of the ENC and have the same shytty job prospects.
I could go on about all the backwards shyt in ENC all day.
both are ridic... but Rocky Mount is
that Eastern NC poverty is real... most of NC's poor black folk are concentrated in the east.
The police in Pitt Country are notorious for not even trying to solve crimesReally?
All I ever hear about G-Vegas is East Carolina University and how much partying goes on in the town because of them.
It's depressing man. When you think about all the people who will forever be trapped in those towns, not knowing any better, not ever knowing/seeing anything different, never having opportunities..it's crazy.
a leather and a beret will make the cypher complete...Hopefully they can pool minds and resources to get the community poppin'. Its bad enough the system wanna mess with you, but we don't need brothas
scared of other brothas over trivial shyt.
Anybody familiar with Northeastern North Carolina?
It's frustrating out here. The people who can leave, do so and the ones who can't, deal.
It's like a zombie state sometimes. It's like nobody cares and trying to convince folk otherwise is futile.
The job market sucks. The atmosphere sucks. The general life happiness sucks.
Also, if you ain't in good with people (family, close friends, church folk) you can about forget receiving much help.
I may get negged and I'm sorry to inform you that these niccas will get back to killing each other, slinging hard drugs to their own people and having kids that they do not intend on providing for in no time. If a man can get to the point that he is so destructive that he can hate his brotha because he wears a different colored rag or lives in a different neighborhood, he can't be changed, he's already too far gone.Theres strength in numbers brehs. It's good that more black men are starting to see this. In order to fight the real enemy, we have to get on the same page and work together

This gif is spooky for some odd reason
I used to hustle ot in this shyt hole town off 85 named Henderson. Right in vance county about 20 miles north of raleigh. Boy what a viscious cut throat city. I mean they treated me well but I was constantly watching my back. Home invasions, carjackings, high hiv rates, chronic unemployment you name it.You summed up Northeastern NC just right
You say zombie, I say twilight zone. I've said it for years - when you're traveling back to ENC from say the 919 area or something, it literally feels like you're entering a twilight zone of blight and misery. And it's like everybody is in some unspoken agreement that it's okay to live like that. Like, nobody gives a fukk and they even sometimes go so far as to argue that they're living a better life than anybody else could possibly be living anywhere else
Nothing but twilight zone. It's so palpable in the atmosphere. A bunch of "nothing" towns, full of poor Blacks and a few rich whites who control said town and hates the poor Black residents
The Blacks who do have any type of vision or success, get the fukk outta there as soon as they can and never look back, just like you said. Repeat that cycle over and over for decades and eventually you just deplete that town's talent pool for jobs/businesses/progression. All you have left in the towns are the people who are stuck there.
It's just hopeless out there.
