Homie, the black hoods near downtown are depressing as fukk in Wilmington. you see all the build up that's happening there, and the backdrop of the beach, then you see the hood with an underclass that can't even enjoy that shyt. :smh:

there's really starting to be a rift in NC where low-income blacks are being banished to a perpetual underclass. Well, I guess it's no different than any other state, but NC's rich black, entrepreneurial history, especially in ENC just makes it seem so fukked up.

Heard that about Kinston, too. :smh:

If you're black in Kinston, get the fukk out. Period.

I'll tell you another ENC city that ain't about shyt... Elizabeth City. :smh: Black folks go to Virginia for jobs.

LIke you said, I'm sure we both can go on and on naming cities in ENC that need immediate help.

Part of the reason Wilmington is the way it is for black people currently living there

Only thing I know outta Durham is Little Brother and the Justus League :skip: Bring those brehs back.
Bloods and Crips on the East Coast are almost always a joke.
They may be gangbanging, but they're no descendents of Tookie Williams and Raymond Washington.

i don't understand why people in other states wanna be Bloods and Crips

don't be an imitator be an innovator

rep your own hood and make your own thing
shyt's corny

be a gang member n 2016 brehs

Everywhere...You never there.
I got stuck in an ENC town for a year with no job and no car, many years ago. It was miserable. :wow:
But like you said I just pulled myself up and saved any amount of money I got my hands on. I got my car, job, and crib in under a year..all in Raleigh. And every time I revisit to see the fam I see dudes who've been there their entire LIVES still walking up and down the road, doing the same old thing :wow:

My gosh. .. :salute: to you black man. Respect . Do you think folks who made it out give back enough ? Should we even expect that ?

I wonder if folks like Donald Williams , Jerry Stackhouse , Gurley (and now Brandon Ingram , who was at my people's cookout in Kingston last week) etc. really try to start initiatives in eastern NC? You know eastern NC breeds professional ballplayers . Pound for pound, per capita can compete with some of the larger cities nationally for developing pro talent ... probably cause it ain't shyt else to do. If these players aren't really giving back with initiatives to bring about empowerment , then they need to start . A camp is cool ..but it's not enough .

Any Durham heads remember when Jerry Stackhouse had that clothing store? :lupe:

Pardon me for showing my age by that question :sadcam:

Those dumbasses should've never been fighting in the first place

Bet the White Man had a mental orgasm in the 60's when these gangs started forming. "Yes let the ******s kill themselves!!!!"

This would be a red flag to them if this era is ending. They'll do something to circumvent the effects...
