I've had this idea for awhile on the hypothetical of majority truce were to stick what could be done afterwards.

Like maybe have younger members work around the neighborhood on some Boy Scout shyt, learn a trade, gardening, boosting skills in the realm of academics, arts for essentially dealing with tramua etc Older members essentially go back to how gangs original started namely protecting the neighborhood and enforcing codes of conduct on how they deem suitable. Hell even get them to learn how to flip houses and fix up buildings that are hazardous and a blight.

A boy can dream. Wish them the best.

A gang truce would probably mean something in a city where nikkas were really killing each other. Not that it would matter, all it would take is one woman and the beef would be back on.

Thats always amazing to me, how its the same nonsense that sets a lot a sh!t off. 60's and Eight Trays were feuding for what? Damn near 30 years, right? Over a party in the late 70's or early 80's. Multiple generations of homicides since. The racial skirmishes in prison too. Taking orders from some dinosaur in Pelican Bay who did dirt back in the early 70's. Its just senseless.

Very good to see. This should be happening all over the country. And for those gang members who just have a natural craving for violence and can't let it go use it toward people like Zimmerman or random white people who call blacks ******s in public.

We can all dream and I wish them the best too. I'm glad they saw the bigger picture of how its a black eye on the community considering the outrage over police aggression when they as bangers were causing equal if not more harm.

"Not one of you are enemies," Community activist Diana Powell said to the groups as they stood together in the middle of Quarry Street Park.

Powell played diplomat between the two sides in the months leading up to Monday night.

The neighborhood's youngest residents were invited to watch. In the wake of the police shootings in Louisiana and Minnesota, and the ambush on officers in Dallas- Powell has faced tough questions from kids.

"They said when they think of police officers, police officers kill black people," Powell said. "And not only do they look at police officers as killing black people, they look at gang members as killing each other ... so, now it's time to turn the channel."

:salute:
