The axe has crap scaling, and its untricked r1 is very slow. The best weapons are the chikage, blades of mercy, burial blade and threaded cane. The BOM puts out the best damage per second, and the chikage does great dps as well. But with the chikage you can max out bloodtinge, and pair it with the most overpowered gun in the game --Evelyn. With a maxed out evelyn+35% gem+bone marrow, you can easily put 1000+ damage per bullet on most bossess. Pvp 500+ damage on enemy hunters. Without the ash, the evelyn still puts out 300+ reliably on most enemies. Also, The visceral attack scales with skill, so all the skill based weapons based weapons have a distinct advantage. The threaded has the best range and use the least stamina. The retracted cain's R1 is really fast, and with max gems and 50 skl it comse really close to the BOM in damage output, but it also has the trick elongated version that can really control large mobs, which is very helpful chalice dungeons

Even though I'm 200+ hours deep on Bloodborne, this is my first "souls" game so I could definitely use some schooling on this shyt right here. I'm not 100% positive I know how the weapon scaling works and if I'm using the best blood gems for each weapon.

I find myself falling back on this weapon the most while I play this... especially for some of these boss fights. I feel like the axe puts me out there too much and I can't evade due to the attacks draining my stamina. The Cane I feel like I can stick and move and get guaranteed damage every time due to it's range. I whipped the shyt out of that Darkbeast Paarl with it before I had to put it down due to going on vacation the last week.

No problem..

Each weapon has a letter (S,A,B,C,D,E) in 4 different attributes (str, skl, blood, arcanee). The letter determines the attribute multiplier against the base damage for each weapon

For example, say you have a character with 40 str a weapon with str attribute of E would put out less damage than a B and signicsntly less damage than an S. And as you level up, each point in str adds more damage with a weapon that has an S in str compared to a weapon that had an E in str.

This means that since the visceral attack (the most devastating attack) scales with skl, using weapons scale with skill like the Cain or the Blades of Mercy gives you the advantage of having a maxed out visceral attack and a maxed out normal. Using str scaling weapons means you have to put points into str and not into skl, which means the visceral attack is not going to be maxed out.

Also, most weapons that scale with arcane don't put out any arcane damage unless you attach an arane gem. This makes arcane the most usless stat in the game.

I like DS/Bloodborne etc. But reducing checkpoint s is a lazy way to increase a games difficulty. That goes for any developer.

Used about 10 vials. Not bad. :francis:

This is a good challenge. I went against Ebrietas (challice version) with only 10 vial just now. She is one of the easier bosses , but it was still pretty intense.

everyone should try 10 vials or less ,it makes the game way harder.
