Bleek is a great 3 man
He isnt the star. Not even the stars first lieutenant
But he plays his part. Technically sound. Doesnt ruin the songs. Good rapper. Not great. Not legendary. Good.
Id say atleast 1/2 of state prop was better. Def peedi freeway and beans. Half of entire dipset was better. Cam juelz and even jim edged him.
But he was a good hand to jay. And being jays hand isnt easy. I dont think any of the others minus beans coulda have really played that part because beans didnt care about playing second fiddle, hed up it so people say jay and him as equals which they did for a min. Thats respect to beans tho who was by far most complete rapper until cam came in.
You know dips wasnt trying be jays seconds , so bleek worked well in that spot.
Tho i would say, shyheim on coming of age would have made it better. Rocafella def took a page out of wus playbook with the litany of rappers coming in and out. Props to jay for not egoing out of control and letting them live. He did a better job with that than nas ever did.
