This nikka basically said "he hated doing record with Beans because he knew he wasn't going to be able to top his verse". How is that interesting? Any fan of The Roc will tell you iy was ALWAYS Jay then Beans, shyt I bet the are some Roc fans who will say they fukked with Beans albums more than Jay :yeshrug: . The man was just giving Beans his flowers.

It just doesn't add up. Did he get some help? I bet he did. But Bleek's rap style isn't like Jay's. You hear a song like Still DRE and you can hear Jay rapping it. I don't hear that when I hear Bleek

STILL DRE DOESNT
SOUND LIKE JAYZ AT ALL.

YOU ONLY KNOW ITS JAY
BECAUSE YOU WERE TOLD ITS JAY

Beans and Dame both said Jay was writing his rhymes. You think they would lie on a subordinate like Bleek?
I don't know if Jay wrote for Bleek. I do know people will lie about what day of the week it is. So yeah I think Dame and Beans would both lie, are they lieing about this idk.

Guys who you would never hear from unless it's talking badly about someone else. It's possible but I have my doubts

Jay wasn't writing for Bleek stop it

It's common knowledge that Hov wrote for Bleek.

Bleek's admitted to it too. There's nothing wrong with it, but a lot of people at Roc and producers have talked about Jay writing for Bleek, over the years. It's just what it was back then.

People in NYC knew Jay wrote it because Hot Day had the first verse of the reference on a mixtape back then, and was like "This ain't no blend, nikkasssss".

After that, all the people who didn't read credits found out.

What's also interesting about Dre is he does a bit of a chameleon act where he keeps the cadence and flow of his writers and he wears it a bit more confidently than some where it's clear they can't deliver the material. Dre is still technically really good at rapping

Truth.

Dre is really dope at getting lyrics from writers and just making them his own. He never sounds off or unnatural with the flows. He's definitely good at rapping. People probably sleep on that with him. He does that better than some actual MC's.

I get what you're saying but I think if you told me that song was written by somebody else and I had to guess without checking, I'd land on Jay quickly. A lot of his isms are on that, especially 99-00 Hov

Bleek had fire verses on their posse cuts, so on certain songs its possible Jay was helping him out. At the same time I agree Still DRE has a cadence that you can imagine in Jay's voice, and I don't get that from Bleek verses so much.

I seem to remember Jay wrote Coming Of Age on RD for Bleek. Either way, I still enjoy the music.

And Beanie Sigel in his prime was incredible. He was one of the best rappers of the 00s. Wish he would have kept it going.
