We are the most diverse people... black people.
Scientists don't fully understand genetics or dna
I think we may not understand at least 15 % of what most of our genes even do or why we are still evolving. As far as race a Stanford study showed that, over 92% of alleles were found in two or more regions, and almost half of the alleles studied were present in all seven major geographical regions.

I know many of you have some sick fantasy about every black woman getting raped in slavery but it actually was more rare.

Just on a common sense level to say that African Americans mostly have white in them is illogical and samboish

But where in the US are full blooded African American likely to be found. I mean, with like 95 to 100% African genetics.
I'm not saying they don't exist, but everyone here whose posted results was at best 75% African.

Within us is all DNA.
There isnt evidence that every black woman was raped.. or even more than 5%.
We already contained more than what pseudo science calls Pure African dna... basically west african.

This isn't true.

It was extremely common for slave masters to father children with black women. It was also common for the male family members of the slave master to father children with them. Mulattos weren't rare during slavery, there's only one way they could exist.

This is the one time you need to sit down fam
You are a Caucasian male on a supposed black forum
Yes I know one of the founders was Caucasian but I didn’t see him all in the videos when it came to discussions like this
Your voice is not needed, opinion is not cared for
This is the problem when you let white folks in on conversations they have no business in
And this is another reason why I wish black folks, mixed, whatever the case maybe
Kept certain conversations out of the open
It leads to voices of others to talk greasy in a tongue and cheek way
Which leads to more in fighting
Yep I’m a bigot and don’t give nan a fukk
Check yourself homie
And I see the resident retard dapped you
Such dummies

:mjlol: wow you chose my race for me...amazing. Almost 50% of black businesses were destroyed last year. Let's keep that energy for the last 50% left. Btw...i made a support black businesses thread in this forum... Why didn't you make one?

I better not hear no "I went to chik fila or Popeyes, Wal-Mart" thread unless it's black owned. :unimpressed:

.

1. Is one of your parents Black?
2. Do you identify as Black?
3. Has society treated you as Black?

If you say yes to those three questions, then I don't see how someone else can come in and say you ain't Black.

your definition of black relies on a definition of black.

Let's say logic's dad says yes to #1. Well Logic can say yes to #1, logic's whiter son can say yes to #1 and so on and so on. no matter how white they are, no one can tell them they aren't black people. Since someone can be say 1/64 black and be black, how society treats them is how society treats black people. So other very white people can identify with them & how society treats them.

if you are using "black" to mean someone full/overwhelmingly black, then you basically destroy your own argument since it seems to be against that definition being valid/relevant

For the people that say she should be specific and put a sign that says it’s a black/asian owned business what would change exactly?

Did she put that sign up to try and get more black customers or something?

My daughter is blindian and i would feel some type of way if she tried something like this. I consider her black and indian yes, but she looks indian and the whole point of all this racial shyt isn’t genetics. But people treating you a certain way based on your outward appearance. Nobody is doing an ancestry test to determine how they should discriminate against you. Be sensitive to that and take responsibility for any misunderstandings that occur as a result. Don’t go around making other black people seem racist while claiming the benefits of your blackness at the same time. Its hyprocitical.
This lady is claiming “black owned” and publishing stories that make black people look bad at the same time. Think about that

Yeah I just thought about this...my son is Half-Indian (I'm Black American) and...

If he had "Black-owned" on an establishment of his. I'd be like: :stopitslime:

"sooooon ok you are my blood but this sign is low-key a stretch" :hubie:

If he put "Tamil-owned" every Indian in the Bay would come to the shop to tell him he wasn't Tamil...them muhfucaz racist as shyt.

nikkas really washing away their blackness and telling their mixed children not to claim their black heritage.

The Coli is a weird place.

I have been following the black genetic genealogy community since 2008 when I got my first genetic testing done. Since 2008, I have not come across any black person who does not have any European blood in them. Even if you say rape was rare, which it was not, you still have over 160 years of mating that has happened within a group that is only 13% of the population, majority of whom were in one singular region in the US (the South) for another two generations after slavery ended. It is entirely possible that most African Americans have some European blood just off of mating habits. Hell, there was just a thread on here about a slave who was shipped across the south to produce babies. He sired something over 150 kids across multiple states. That was just one slave. Even in black communities, like where my grandfather is from in South Carolina, communities described as 'genetic bottlenecks', communities so insular that new gene flow is not introduced into the local population, for instance, like the Gullah/Geechee communities, you still are going to see European admixtures between 2-5%. And these would be considered the blackest people in the U.S.

Why are you only looking at #1 and ignoring #2/3

If Logic's father is Black, and Logic identifies as Black, and society treats Logic as if he were Black, then why wouldn't he be Black? Let me go back to that James Baldwin quote:

"He is a Negro, of course, from the remarkable legal point of view which obtains in the United States, but more importantly, as he tried to make clear to his interlocutor, he was a Negro by choice and by depth of involvement--by experience, in fact."

You want to dispute Baldwin and claim, "But then some 1/64th Black person could call himself Black!" No, he wouldn't, not unless society recognized him as Black and he had lived the Black experience in the USA. Why would you try to claim that someone who had a Black parent, who identified as Black, and who had lived the Black experience in the USA....somehow isn't Black? What do you gain by excluding them from the community that their own life experience has placed them in?
