It’s that high variance. Most polarizing player since Minny weedplate. Some of it is Ime and his rotations, last year Jalen took off because he spoke out and spoke with Ime about wanting to play with Cam and Amen more as opposed the starter because the starter(mainly FV) played at a slow tempo..

Ppl don’t realize it but FVV and Jalen aren’t really a complementary backcourt. They don’t assist each other at all. FVV, a lot of times, only really look for Sengun. I keep saying comparing hi to Wiggins because Wiggins was passive and forgotten in Minny jsut like Jalen gets in Houston. He strives in GS because Kerrs offense makes it a priority to involve him. Whereas in Minny he had to figure it out and get I where he fits in and he doesn’t have a dominating attitude to go get his all the time. That’s one thing I give Cade all the credit for. Jalen and Wiggins aren’t go-getters like him.
All Fred can do is spam pick and roll with Sengun and throw up garbage ass 3s. Cade is always assertive. He knows he’s the man. He knows if he’s not on, his team will fail. True alpha mentality. Sengun got that in him to. That’s why, even if he starts off 1-10, he can finish 10-20z

Jalen lets himself get punked and will fade In a game. That’s why when people say he’s a ball hog I know they don’t watch the rockets play. Jalen will take some bad shots at times and puts up low assist numbers but he’s the opposite of a ballhog. He will stand in the corner for large stretches of a game then get like 2-3 mins of shots that determine whether the good or bad Jalen has shown up. The mental growth he needs to take to really break out is to think “if I get 26-30 points, my team will win”. He’s gotta learn how to press and how to push that button even when he’s off. But on this type of team, where on any given night someone might pop off, it’s best to play how he has been playing (inefficiency aside). But the playoffs are a completely different beast.

Heavy on this. Jsut like the guy who complained earlier this morning about Jalen having only two assists like he doesn’t look to find the open person. He literally hit jabari on the roll in the middle Of the paint with a mismatch and he rocked the shot. Jalen far from a selfish player. Sometime l wIsh he was a little bit more selfish.

Agreed. Overall Jalen is too passive. From an overall “give me the ball” perspective. He’ll get his shots up but it’s usually choppy cause Fred is usually pounding the rock. Cam Whitmore is selfish and I love it. Gotta tone it down but I’d rather have to tell a scorer chill vs go shoot.

Don’t matter who upping the thread. It’s mostly Detroit fans in here that’s saying the most about Jalen. And it is a Pistons fan who’s upping the Jalen thread on this board and he knows who he is. Other than that the only other person who up this thread Rockets fans, Jalen fans and every once in a while Gil-Scott. Cade ain’t on our radar unless we play Detroit. The only players on yall roster I really pay attention to is Narcus Sasser because of the Houston Cougar connection

I don’t remember Cam being on y’all radar pre-draft. After the lottery it was always the Thompson twins and Jarace Walker getting the most predraft talk outta the pistons camp. Did yall even workout Cam?
El cappington. You be all up in the pistons thread and it don’t be about no damn bench player sasser.

Cam was on my radar his whole freshman year at Villanova, way before the lottery even happened. Then after the lottery there was a lot of talk and mocks of him going to the Pistons until it got closer to the draft. Usually I kind of keep an eye on a player and their development if they were someone I thought was talented and a possible good fit for my team. I watch less and less college ball these days so sometimes I don't be knowing much about these guys. Cam was one of the rare few I actually watched games for that season.

Show it. Show me where I’m in the pistons being subjective and trashing Cade or pistons players. I’ll wait. Cuz I’m in every basketball team season thread. And I follow Gtown and Houston Cougar players in the league

I’ll give Jalen this, he’s heating up. Some of his bad games recently have been cause the rockets are mad deep. If he’s not on, he takes a step back for whoever has the hot hand. The rockets play real democratically with the ball. If he starts a game 2-7 but Bari, Fred or Sengun are rolling, he goes and plays his role. Honestly pisses me off at times, especially when he’s deferring when he needs to be trying to assert himself. But overall he’s been playing great defense and buying into the team over individual mentality. Brother just needs to start shooting better.
You typed a lot to say the number 2 pick who is mad at another city for not picking him over a budding all star is realizing he is a great role player.

Yeah you didn’t watch the game. Jalen ain’t no playmakers but he’s a good secondary passer and more often than not makes the right read. He got trapped a couple of times off the screen and made the right pass to the open man(typically Jabari) but the guys weren’t hitting shots. Jabari missed all his shots last night.

I’m starting to see that you Detroit fans still taking this personal against Jalen because of those comments he made when he got drafted about Detroit :russ: I thought yall were over that shyt:lolbron:

I thought it was series this thread got upped by Detroit fans when Jalen had a solid December. He’s shooting a higher TS% this month than Cade and Jalen had a couple of bad games. Would’ve made more sense for yall to pop shyt in November because that was Jalen’s bad month of play but I guess yall had to wait until Cade balled and the pistons started to compete better bride popping shyt.
You have that man in your avi. Does Draya know how much you love her man? Please stop.
