I’ll give Jalen this, he’s heating up. Some of his bad games recently have been cause the rockets are mad deep. If he’s not on, he takes a step back for whoever has the hot hand. The rockets play real democratically with the ball. If he starts a game 2-7 but Bari, Fred or Sengun are rolling, he goes and plays his role. Honestly pisses me off at times, especially when he’s deferring when he needs to be trying to assert himself. But overall he’s been playing great defense and buying into the team over individual mentality. Brother just needs to start shooting better.

If you don't watch the rockets every nite you won't know this..but this is exactly how it is. Jabari Smith was the third pick in the draft and we run no plays thru him. Whomever gets hot between Jalen Fred And Sengun gets the playcalls. Everyone else eats thru them or off our defense or rebounds. The only people who force it is Dillon Brooks Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore. Which was ok for Brooks and Thompson cause they play crazy defense. Cam wasn't doing that he was just jacking shyt. But the time in the Gleague has helped him. He is better on defense.

that was one of his 2 assists for the night and its insane how he really doesn't make the right pass enough
Yeah you didn’t watch the game. Jalen ain’t no playmakers but he’s a good secondary passer and more often than not makes the right read. He got trapped a couple of times off the screen and made the right pass to the open man(typically Jabari) but the guys weren’t hitting shots. Jabari missed all his shots last night.

I’m starting to see that you Detroit fans still taking this personal against Jalen because of those comments he made when he got drafted about Detroit :russ: I thought yall were over that shyt:lolbron:

I thought it was series this thread got upped by Detroit fans when Jalen had a solid December. He’s shooting a higher TS% this month than Cade and Jalen had a couple of bad games. Would’ve made more sense for yall to pop shyt in November because that was Jalen’s bad month of play but I guess yall had to wait until Cade balled and the pistons started to compete better bride popping shyt.

You gotta stop. Detroit fans ain't the ones that upped this thread in December, November or any of that shyt. And it's up forever with anybody that throw disrespect to the city :yeshrug: Detroit vs Everybody ain't just a saying on a t shirt.

On the real I actually like Jalen highlights. He a fun player to watch. Don't really care about what he do much beyond that though. I'm intrigued by a few players on y'all team and their development. Mainly Amen and Whitmore. I thought for sure Cam was gonna be a Piston before the injury rumors start circulating pre-draft.

Dude is the most high variance player in the nba. It really has been feast or famine.

It’s all mental. You can tell by his ridiculous home-road split.

He’s a superstar onthe road and a scrub at home

Lol it used to be the complete opposite. He used to be complete trash on the road but amazing at home. It’s impossible to make heads or tails out of Jalen. He’s literally the basketball Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde

Don’t matter who upping the thread. It’s mostly Detroit fans in here that’s saying the most about Jalen. And it is a Pistons fan who’s upping the Jalen thread on this board and he knows who he is. Other than that the only other person who up this thread Rockets fans, Jalen fans and every once in a while Gil-Scott. Cade ain’t on our radar unless we play Detroit. The only players on yall roster I really pay attention to is Narcus Sasser because of the Houston Cougar connection

I don’t remember Cam being on y’all radar pre-draft. After the lottery it was always the Thompson twins and Jarace Walker getting the most predraft talk outta the pistons camp. Did yall even workout Cam?

It’s that high variance. Most polarizing player since Minny weedplate. Some of it is Ime and his rotations, last year Jalen took off because he spoke out and spoke with Ime about wanting to play with Cam and Amen more as opposed the starter because the starter(mainly FV) played at a slow tempo..

Ppl don’t realize it but FVV and Jalen aren’t really a complementary backcourt. They don’t assist each other at all. FVV, a lot of times, only really look for Sengun. I keep saying comparing hi to Wiggins because Wiggins was passive and forgotten in Minny jsut like Jalen gets in Houston. He strives in GS because Kerrs offense makes it a priority to involve him. Whereas in Minny he had to figure it out and get I where he fits in and he doesn’t have a dominating attitude to go get his all the time. That’s one thing I give Cade all the credit for. Jalen and Wiggins aren’t go-getters like him.
