that's exactly what it is, class warfare. these mulattos (with their lighter skin and "softer" hair) get bumped up in class by whites, while actual blacks are relegated to the bottom of the ladder. thus, mulattos are used against black people in a social context. we see this being played out to this day.

@wickedsm At least tell Cosby show had a clearly black mother and father as well as 3 out of 5 clearly black children. Sondra wasn't added until I think a few seasons later. Nowadays, it's like only one parent is allowed to be black, usually the father and maybe one child such as My Wife & Kids, Black-ish, too many commercials to be named.

It's extremely rare where they will show a black couple or family.

Blackish is getting unwarranted criticisms. The mom is mixed and they let you know she is rather than pretend she isn't unlike many other shows.

However, the kids and the extended family are unambiguously black

The lightest kid is the son, whereas the girls are undoubtedly black (which is rare these day) with the youngest daughter being the darkest (which is again very rare) and the younger boy is typical brown shade.

Y'all attacking a rare show today which represents black excellence; simply cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Who didn't grow up watching the Cosby show and wonder about the two oldest daughters?
That ish was clear as day, even to me.

That's why i give props and spit on The Fresh Prince of Belair at the same time.
They replaced classic Aunt Viv with generic lightskin lady, but when it came to Nicky, he was a darker little boy when a lot of the older shows would've thrown a Richie at us.

My Wife and Kids was a bad look so i didn't watch it myself.
