Money > Integrity in most people's eyes.

The most racist person around would keep a minority in his house for a week if he knew he was getting a fat check at the end of it.

I would co-sign that but I've heard too many stories about us getting turned down for Ubers and Air-BNBs. So some people won't do business with us regardless of how much we'll make them.

Kofi's statement on this "controversial" pic;
While much of the feedback has been positive, there has also been a lot of negative response with regard to the picture we posted illustrating Rich, Sasha, Xavier, E, and myself wielding our championship titles. Perhaps this is because many are in question of the motivation behind the post:

It does not come from a place of malice, spite, or gloating. It comes from a place of joy and a place of happiness. We have a very strong sense of pride in being the Black People simultaneously holding championships in WWE. Historically in our nation, there was period in time where this would not have happened, followed by a long period of time where it became possible, but had not actually materialized. Now, we are in the time in which the possibility has become a reality.

Why does this matter?

It matters because even though it is hard for some to fathom, the fact is that there are many people who feel as though it is impossible to attain certain goals because of the color of their skin. This is why we must acknowledge the color of ours in this instance. It is important for people of all races, but particularly people of color, and especially the youth, to see that it is entirely possible to achieve your dreams and aspirations regardless of your race. We are a shining example who want to be a source of motivation for others to believe in themselves and do the same.

Excellence is not the same as supremacy. #BlackExcellence is not meant to be divisive. For even if you do not fall into the specific category, you can still take enjoyment in our pride, because in the biggest picture, in a society that often focuses on the negative aspects of race relations, what has transpired with the 5 of us speaks positively to the progress we've made as a nation.
:snoop: i'm mad he even has to explain this.

I know it's fun to dump on Rock with the jokes, but he's never shyed away from mentioning that his dad is Black and that he's half-Black.

He's obviously closer to his mom b/c likely his dad was always gone. So he grew up with/took after his moms side of the family because he was with her all the time.

In those days, wrestlers traveled 300+ days a year. He probably went months without seeing his dad at times.
This. It's beyond corny and proven false about that with Rock anyway. Crazy that people Legit love to go with The Rock has self hate or doesn't identify with being black narrative. It's silly. Rock is always bigging up his black side. He gives hella love to his pops and his accomplisments for the African American community. I don't know why some posted you rarely see or hear Rock talk about Rocky Johnson. He did it this year. Made a long post about his father. He even alludes to being black in the new Baywatch trailer. He's talked about his love for black women in essence back in 2014. There's a really piff article talking about the whole Rock and BLACK issues here https://www.uproxx.com/prowrestling/breaking-the-rock-isnt-black-anymore-according-to-the-atlantic

Anyone who is seriously believing Rock is a c00n, has selfhate, or is an uncle tom is just trolling.

But that's all besides the point. This was really good for the new day and that picture is seriously awesome. Who cares about what titles they are. We have a handful of black champions in the WWE. When is the last time we can say that. I am extremely happy for those in that picture. They look accomplished and proud. I don't see how anyone can hate on this.
